Folks,

Check out CRDSTUs thread on AJOR, he's fabbing up a new product line - KJ rock sliders; with a rear bar and tyre carrier to come later.

Always happy to support Murchison Products.

Update: I went ahead and bought cmohr's Rock Lizard Super Skink sliders and they arrived at my door today. They each weigh 17.5kg (so 35kg all up, about the same as my dog).

Image

Eleven holes to drill per side to mount. I think I will leave them in the shed until I move but you never know I might get 'the bug' and put them on so I don't have to carry them again.

The colour cmohr painted (gunmetal I think) them goes nicely with the silver of the KJ.

Go on, just put them on, you know you want to. By the way silver hammertone would look good too.

I did buy a couple of new drill bits for the install so I suspect they will go on before I move.

Well it's like this...in my packing up for the move I have packed my SD card reader and my camera cable to computer and now I can't find them. So I don't have anyway of getting the photos out of my camera. I know they are in one of three boxes but I am not motivated enough to open them up and look for them. I will get them up here when I unpack the boxes, and realistically it's going to be the last week of February before I get to them.

The Skinks were admired last week at the Sydney Jeep Club meeting and they make Dave's little tubes look positively anemic.

I completely Understand, I packed up some stuff last year to make space for my border, and have to riffle thru boxes all the time to find little things I need every now and then..

Good luck with all the moving Glen

Ok cmohr, here are the photos that you have been waiting for - the sliders on my KJ! I have added black nonslip tape to the top of the tubes since these photos were taken.
