I've been thinking of trying to get a camping weekend organised for after the school holiday period and before I move house, so the weekend of 11-12th of February is ideal for me. I was thinking about the Upper Colo Reserve, as we had a weekend trip there last year and it was a good time. It's right on the Colo River and has a beach and the water will still be warm enough to swim. There are nearby 4WD tracks including the famous Wheeny Creek Steps for those that might want to try it.

So what do you say? Usual suspects: gi-frog, Jenko, Phil and Sandra, myself, maynbe DaveG and maybe a few new people as well. Post up here if iterested. We have to book so need to get started now. The reserve is big with plenty of room.

Dave responded to my email, he won't be coming due to other commitments.

I had a message back from gi-frog today, as suspected he is rostered on driving trains that weekend (11 &12th) so he's out.

I am going to put a little notice up in the KJ section on AJOR and see if we can round up a few more KJers from there who haven't gotten involved yet.

Greg as we both probably expected, there has been little (tangible) interest from the KJ congregation on AJOR. A couple of 'we'll try' type comments. As Yoda has told us "Do, or do not.....there is no try".

This trip is cancelled. The Upper Colo Reserve has been booked out for that weekend by HORSE people. As I have moving stuff to do and abit of reno work the rest of February it looks like it will have to wait awhile - and a good thing to, as horse people leave a terrible mess (why can't carry a shovel and take it all away with them). Upper Colo will be a field of horse poo (and flies) for months.
