Greetings all! More questions , questions! Promise I will shout the next round if someone could give me a little help with a roof rack system for my KJ. I have the 06 Renegade edition with the oversize factor bars. I would like to find a rack that would sit down inbetween the factory bars so the basket I put up top will not sit so high. Thule sits way to high. Has anyone with a Renegade tacked this issue? Cheers Nick Marrickville NSW |

If I could afford one, I would go with rocklizard's roof racks: http://www.rocklizardfabrications.com/Liberty_gecko_accessories.htm |

When (and if!) I can ever get round to it, I want to make a pair of low profile cross bars that bolt on in place of the factory fore-and-aft rails and then get a low cage/platform to sit on them. Ideally the total height will be the same as the existing rails so I can stll get into my garage! (I currently have about 10mm clearance between the rails and the roof beams). |

Hey Pipliner. That is exactly my problem as well! I have underground parking and it a rack sits up too high it will scrape more then likely. I would have to drive the KJ out on the street to put a thule rack on. So yeah I have seen another KJ renegade with Pro-Rack crossbars that sit down low but I can't find them anywhere on the net, unless maybe I put a note on his windscreen to find out where the hell he got them. Good luck Cheers Nick |

You could always move! I looked at a place last month that had a shed designed to house a bus sized Winnebago. Got to get your priorities right. |
