One of our local radio stations broadcasts BBC overnight until 4 or 5 AM. Yesterday morning there was an interview regarding the state of biodiesel production in Britain specifically but Europe in general. Apparently the impact of US soybean, subsidized, biodiesel and SE Asia palm oil biodiesel imports plus the same "splash and dash" technique practiced here is stressing the previously positive growth of biodiesel production in Europe. Their cost of production from domestic, small farm, seed oil crops is too high and the higher overall retail value of fuel is pulling import in.
I guess I need to move to Seattle, Portland, London or Paris to get US Biodiesel on a regular basis.
