So I came over to this discussion after a biodiesel thread in the CRD discussion was just too much for one LOST member.
I just gotta rant a bit.
I wrote about how hard it is to pay for petroleum products (which I do, especially in winter when I am running B10-B25) knowing that most of that money gets sent to the middle east where it goes to extremely wealthy families who often send some of that money on to terrorists. It is so well known by anyone who traces the money of petroleum, but so many people have to close their minds to it just to keep driving.
It is a big reason I made the switch to diesels, and in particular to running as much Bio as possible: I don't want to participate in that economy anymore anymore than I have to.
Just kills me that the funders of suicide bombers in Iraq probably had some dollars that were spent in american fuel pumps.
And we have spent so many trillions protecting the security of an oil rich region, when even a fraction of that could be advancing the promising technologies in advanced biodiesel production.
Ok. I feel better.

The more we use biodiesel, alternitive energy, and synthetics oils the less dollars that go to the middle east. :mrgreen:
