Post subject:  Q??? using alcohol (flex fuel) in 2006 4.7L V8

I just read about the Jeep 4.7L V8 from 2007 on being flex fuel compatible. I would like to know if anyone knows if there is a difference between the 2006 and 2007 engine. We have a 2006 4.7L V8 in our GC Laredo.
Here's a link to "How stuff works" where I saw the information. <http://auto.howstuffworks.com/fuel-efficiency/vehicles/the-consumer-guide-to-e85-vehicles3.htm>
Is the control system different? is there any difference in the fuel system? I've seen add-on electronic gizmos for sale to alter the fuel volume at the injector. Is that all that's needed? or would replacing the 2006 computer with a 2007 or later do the trick? Or, alternatively, is it already alcohol compatible but Jeep hasn't released that information because it wasn't an issue prior to 2007? I guess what I would like to know is, exactly what would be required to make the 2006 version alcohol compatible? :?
Thanks for any help.

It's not as simple as just changing the computer. You will need a lot bigger injectors to push more fuel and also a better fuel pump. Don't be surprised when your fuel gauge stops working as well.

also on alcohol, all of the fuel lines/connectors need to be alcohol comparable

it breaks down some of the older compounds and the bits clog the line.
