My '05 CRD has been running on some form of biodeisel since it left the factory, I've only had it for a little less than 1000miles and I'm running on B99 until I can start making my own.

My question is whether or not I should replace the fuel lines? My thinking is that I will be installing the kennedy lift pump in the next month or two and it seems like a reasonable time to also replace some fuel line (at least tank-to-filter). I've found two that seem compatible (SAE30R9 & Vitron, SAE30R9 being the less expensive of the two). Looks like the fuel lines are 3/8".

Anyone done this? If so, happen to know off the top of your head the length of hose I'll need? :D How involved would it be to replace all the fuel hoses?

I'm thinking I would at least replace from the tank to the filter, maybe also filter to the engine. This is mostly to err on the side of caution, since I don't know the current condition of the hoses nor how long they've been running biodiesel, if they are even compatible w/ BD (nylon inner coating seems to be key here, right?), etc.

Anyway, would love some advice from people who have had experience with the fuel lines and biodiesel.

The crd hoses are made of material that is not readily degraded by bio, and the bio will knock any dino deposits loose, so unless you need to repair them, it might be better to leave the hoses alone.

CRD's came from the dealer with Biodiesel in the tank (granted it was only 5%)

a couple of folks have run 50-100% from day one -
no one's every mentioned swapping hoses.

That's great! I knew that was the case for most 200+ vehicles, but wasn't sure.

Thanks, guys!
