That's why I never took my new wrangler down there after the first trip. I've seen too much sheet metal damage come back from there. It was my DD. Now if I had a beater Jeep, I'd be right there. Then again, I don't have a Jeep right now. Just my ATV.

I think KS Rocks is getting a little bit of a bad wrap here. I had my KJ down there probally 1-2 times a month and only twice got into trees. There are a ton of trails that you can navigate without damage. I've had my XJ for 2 years now and have yet to pick up damage there. So long as you know your limits you shouldn't have a problem. I encorage you guys to not be scared off by someone elses damage. Keep in mind a lot of it has to do with your driving style. If you are a "wide open till you see god then brake" kinda guy then you can expect to damage something. If you are easy on your skinny pedal you will have less problems. Now thats not to say that Jsc's driving style is aggresive or that he is a lesser driver. Frostbite got slick and nasty and a lot of the trails get bumped up a level when it's like that. Trails in those conditions can be hairy no matter what kind of driver you are. In fact I encorage you guys to come down in the summer when it's dry and you would be amazed what you could do with no damage.

I understand that's it's not going to be everybodys favorite place to go but don't count something out by pictures of damage on somebody elses rig. There is potential for damage no matter what type of trails you run. It's just part of the sport.

Im pretty easy on the skinny pedal, both of my damages were from sliding off of rocks that were wet and one time I was on a intermediate trail and the other was a hard trail, it was hard enough I saw a Rubicon having some trouble making it to where I was although he was stock, but still he has front and rear lockers so it was definitely not an easy trail.

It is a great park though my friend with a K5, CJ7 and I are all planning on going back here shortly.....after the guy with the K5 fixes some of his damage, but all he did was the hard trails.

I still want to make a trip out there somtime but not for a big event. If I drive up to somthing there that I dont want to try I like to have the option to turn around. I like to think I know my limitations.

I didn't want to imply anything about your driving style. And to be honest the only 2 times I've been against a tree there it was as slimy as frostbite. You were more of the example since you were there.

Like I said to the people that would be worried about damage wait till this summer when it's dry and you would be amazed at how much of the park you could see and do. I will recommend full skids and tow hooks is a must in a stocker.

Also if there are some want to see the park without taking thier KJ I'll try and meet you down there and would be more than happy to have you guys in the pass seat. And you could decide from there if it's for you or not.
