I do not expect anyone to jump on this, but I’ll be back in Kansas City right around the dates of March 12th - 16th. Let me know if anyone would like to meet up for some BBQ.

Sorry boss, but I can't make it

They only let so many people take vacation at one time and they are booked till May. Heck I just put in for some time on August and almost didn't get it....

Now, if you want to bring some of that BBQ back to CO

Bummer! I was hoping that you were working in Eastern Kansas/Nebraska. I know that you love BBQ as much as I do, but………… :( Maybe another time! 8) Hey, in this economy, you can’t complain about too much work! :D

If it's during the week, we're out.

Even if it's on the weekend of March 16-18, we're out. We're off to venture the forest service trails with some others up in Michigan that weekend.

If it were the weekend before.... well, maybe.

Unfortunately, I'm also under time restraints. :| I have two restrictions. 1) I'm taking a test in Gallup, NM on the 10th. 2) I have to be in Southern Missouri to pick up my tractor on the 14th. Other than those two dates, I'm open. I know that it doesn't help you though.......... I didn't expect you to even consider the trip, but I know you’re all about road trips!

Southern Missouri huh? Where abouts exactly?

KC is about 3 hours from me (via horrible back roads) but I will talk to the wifey because we want to explore MO more before we leave late summer.

We have a farm not too far from Joplin. It’s a little south of Monett to be exact. I’m also going to see Marty's new shop (Rock Lizard Fabrications) in Springfield. Then we're heading down to the Branson area to pick up my tractor.

I hope you guys can make it. Tell your wife that she will love K.C. and the BBQ is well worth the trip.

Gary and arengant, let me know what days are best for you guys. At this point, we wont be in Kansas until late Sunday night. We will be in Missouri all day on the 14th. And I’m still not sure when we’ll head back to New Mexico. We might not leave until Friday the 16th.

If you wait until the 16th to go to Springfield Taylor's band will be playing in Springfield that night. I'm sure you will love loud screaming rock.

Cool! Image

Since my aunt passed away, my family no longer owns the property that my farm/ranch equipment sits on. The owner (who doesn't live there permanently) chose this day to unlock the barn and allow us to take stuff out. My Dad and I have to take both trucks and trailers to get everything at once.

But it would be cool to see Taylor in action!

I didn't know he moved that far, I thought he was still in CO! That's close to me now, maybe I will pay him a visit when my bumper is done instead of paying for shipping :)

Springfield is an easier drive than KC (and they have a Target, out here we only have a Wal Mart) either way when it get's closer I'll let you know where we can go. I am doing shift work through mid of April for my training, but it still usually leaves the weekends open.

You've got the best of both worlds. :SOMBRERO:

I am in Fort Leonard Wood, Off I44 between Lebanon and Rolla, about halfway between St. Louis and Springfield

Ah, I have a cousin there. From Ft. Leonard Wood, I don't know the best way to get to K.C........maybe highway 7 up to Harrisonville, MO, then highway 68 to Louisburg, KS, then 69 straight in to Oklahoma Joes BBQ? I'll be coming from Ottawa, KS, so I'll be taking 68 to Harrisonville, then 7 down to Clinton and 13 all the way to Springfield. Then comes the fun part........the Ozark Mountains - pulling a trailer down those curvy mountains roads; sometimes having to slow down to 15 mph just to make the corner. :dizzy:

What will you be driving, the Dodge or Jeep? I doubt you'd have extra time for wheeling if you are taking the jeep huh?

I'll check up on the BBQ place and figure any plans from there.

Nope, we're taking two trucks with trailers. It will be a quick trip down there and back to Kansas.

There are no plans for BBQ in Springfield. I told Marty that I might meet him at Braums for a quick burger. Nothing is really set in stone with Marty until a few days before we make the trip down there. I'll keep you posted as things develop.
