3rd Annual LOST Great Plains Christmas Dinner (BBQ)

Date:
December 26th

Location:
Oklahoma Joe's BBQ
11950 S Strang Line Rd
Olathe, KS 66062
(913) 782-6858

They accept credit cards but do not accept reservations. The lady I spoke to said they have "picnic tables" that will hold groups of 10, and those should be available for us.

Scottm2010m, are you still planning to come? If so, do you need a contact number for one of us?

I'll check with him on face book. So what do you think about 4:00 so it won't be as crowded.
And my brother is riding up with us also. I have not heard from Ron, I will call him this weekend.

We made it back to the Land of Enchantment.

Thanks to those who were able to meet us for some good BBQ. I know Gary had the longest drive, so we were grateful for his sacrifice.

I'm already lookin' forward to next years Christmas Dinner. :banghead:

I'll get some pics posted later on.

Oh, I'm not happy with rokee1998, he just sent me a PM and said that he could have made our annual Christmas dinner if he would have checked his email in time. But I was a nice guy and gave him a one year advance invitation for next years Christmas dinner.

Pics coming..........

I know when Jayme asked about pics, she was really wanting to see pics of sliced brisket piled high, slabs of ribs hanging off the over-sized plates, smokey burnt-end sandwiches, molasses smoked baked beans and BBQ sauce squirted everywhere. And that, my friends, is indeed a true KC BBQ. However, and let me apologize now, but these are all the pics that I have. Keep in mind that nobody posed for any of these pics and I'm pretty confident that nobody authorized having their pics taken, especially posted on the net. With all that being said, here you go:

On the far left side, we have Scott (KJ owner) and Craig (KK owner)
Image

On the far right side we have David (XJ owner) and his brother Gary (KJ owner) and me (XJ owner).
Image

My wife, Sarah (KJ owner) thinking that she is clever, only to find out later that I’m posting her picture. She went next door and got Panda Express, therefore she was warned that she can no longer join us if she doesn't eat BBQ.
Image

Mom, Myrna (No Jeep currently). The grouped unanimously warned her that she may not get to join us next year if she doesn't own a Jeep.
Image

Dad, Randall (Sold his YJ, looking for TJ) He was also warned that he may not be able to join us next year without owning a Jeep.
