I recently totaled my 1994 2WD Grand Cherokee Laredo, im wondering what vehicle to buy that will match most parts with my newly transitioned part truck? I am a college student with a limited budget but that shouldnt matter with the year of my Jeep. I have been looking at Dakotas too

Thad cute. Nice chirp. Am I to assume this website is not littered with mechanicaly inclined folks, but rather cake eating, trust fund seaping out your ace flamers who troll on the less fortunate folk?

Assume away! Seriously ! Can't take a joke. A Totaled vehicle collage student came on line to ask unknown people what to buy. Then posts that up! Good luck.

If you have the wrecked Jeep what is recoverable? If the wrecked Jeep fit your needs and you have a lot of good reusable parts. Then I'd recommend the same Jeep again. 2 wheel drive shouldn't cost as much as 4 wheel but if parts are interchange able it might work to. I do not have a lot of knowledge on what years would be similar. Now I don't see what section you posted in. But Liberty's are the major part of this forum. You might need to visit other Jeep forums to get more info, on the years to look for.

I think it's hard to recommend which Jeep to get.
What's your budget is the obvious question.
I think it would be wise to get the same Jeep if you were happy with it, but the Liberty sure is a darn good vehicle and you can get one for a pretty fair price if you shop around.

It's just the roof that's caved in after a single rollover, the beast still runs so I expect everything is fine. I thought about making it a convertable lol. Never considered liberties, or is it libertys, because of the camping a do as a wildland firefighter. Thank you both for your input
Keep on truckin

No broken glass? Then beat the roof up and drive.
And I camp in my KK sleep right in the back. You can get a tent that goes with the Liberty's too.

The KK makes for a great camping vehicle. I've camped out in mine for a week. All the seats fold down and make for a great bed.

I went from a ZJ 96 grand to my KK now. Size wise they are very similar. I have driven every other body style grand Cherokee and none of them "felt right" after driving a ZJ. The blind spots are similar it was a very easy transition and I will vouch for comfort of camping. I've put a full size inflatable matress in the back of mine and it's wonderful lol

The Liberty is an extremely capable offroad machine. I have a feeling my lower back would not enjoy sleeping in any vehicle, but I am confident the Liberty will get me to anywhere I want to set up my tent. Mine is in the process of becoming an expedition-type Jeep.
