I've been running the 808 Mild v1.02 tune for 18 months now on a stock torque converter. Yeti actually added the DTC delete specifically for me to get rid of my check engine light after installing a Weeks kit.

I do get a little bit of shudder if I force it (flooring it on a hill when I'm around 1700rpm in overdrive, for example) but in normal day to day driving it never happens. My philosophy is essentially to run it until it blows up then upgrade to a Hemi TC (and possibly transmission), but it shows no signs of blowing up since I'm not stressing it much at all.

I just installed that same 808 v1.02 to get rid of that DTC from the Weeks kit.
The light went out during the flash, but came on again after I started the engine, so now I have to assume I have something ELSE generating the lite.

I just had the Heap at the local stealership today for ABS diagnosis after the 808 v1.02 install last night, and the stealer didn't mention any codes being generated by the missing EGR, or any other codes at all.
I was hoping they'd have cleared them, but alas.....

The engine feels more responsive, so I'm hoping for good things.

Thanks, Mr Yet.

During flashing it typically shuts everything down so I would expect that the CEL would go out. I would get it scanned to see if something else is up.

Need help with this! I followed all directions at the beginning of this post. We have a 2005 Jeep CRD that we recently had EGR removed from. Mechanic told us to find a file to remap as he's not good with computers (old school). Bought the MPPS off Ebay, installed it and saved a copy of current map. Downloaded Nick's file for the EGR delete map Nick-811-EGR_FCV_delete-stock_tune, guess I got the wrong one because jeep wouldn't start after successful install. Reverted back to original and it starts. So what am I doing wrong?? When I look up my software version in wordpad it reads 1037374527P, no 811 number like all the others. Would sure love some help getting this thing going. The jeep will barely run and shuts down on every hill, thought the EGR or fuel pump was the problem but so far problem is getting worse...thanks.

I can't help, but it'd be useful for the people trying to help to know where in the world you are, to try to match up a country/region where your jeep was sold.

You have a "527" file. If there isn't one posted in the tune list in the beginning of this thread, there isn't a tune of your particular file yet.

Start a new post on the "Liberty CRD...Love that Torque!!!" http://www.lostjeeps.com/forum/phpBB3/viewforum.php?f=5
Sounds like you have some other issues that need to be fully diagnosed and eliminated before you start trying to upgrade ECM software....
Post all your symptoms and / or issues and what you have inspected or done to vehicle so far to eliminate running problem(s) on a new thread and there are many experts on this forum that are more than willing to try and help you solve your problem!
After you get it running right, then the upgraded tuning can be addressed!

Since the files we download here seem to be on Drop Box:

Hi all

Been right through this topic, bought the scanner and found that our ECU is an 809 (Jeep is in Europe - reads 1037380809). Comparing that to the stock 809 on page 1 gives me 100% identical.

There's a stock EGR/FCV delete for the 809 listed at the start of this discussion - I have pulled the .bin file for that and I can see that there's a couple of changes.

However there is mention in other parts of the discussion of an 809 file from Yeti - does anybody know if this is the same file?? Alternatively has anybody got an 809 file that is tweaked for a better mpg?

(I'm quite happy to play around with my own stock file but, so far, I have been unable to find a download for ECM Titanium that does not get flagged up as containing a Trojan)

Thanks

Graeme

Most of the mod files are Yeti's or Nick's unless otherwise noted. You can PM Yeti for special request mods for your 809 file.

ECM Titanium: download>This link is for ECM Titanium---https://www.dropbox.com/s/itavzspverf3o64/ECM%20titanium%201.61%20full.zip?dl=0
I downloaded this file, scanned with both AVG and Malwarebytes and both returned 0 threats...
Note: It is a zip file!

Hi there WWDiesel

Thanks for the download link - the zip there is identical to one I found earlier today (from an Italian site) that initially scans as 'OK' but then when I run the install executable Windows Defender chimes in with 'Trojan warning' and deletes the file - I think that Windows Defender may be being a little bit paranoid there so what I'll do is pull an old laptop out of the cupboard, reload it with a basic Windows XP image and run the exe file on there - even if there is a virus/trojan there'll be no harm done on that machine.

[Microsoft classify this trojan as Win32/Dynamer!ac - Googling that does suggest it is not worth getting in a tiz about as many other virus checkers skip it - but as this laptop is my main machine then I'll run it on another]

I'm hoping to get the EGR blanked off over the weekend so flashing the EGR delete bin file would be a good place to start - I'm quite interested in getting the ECM software working to have a 'fiddle' with the beastie.

Great forum here btw - lots and lots of useful info that has helped get our Jeep back to a decent state of roadworthiness - cracking car for the money - just the timing/cambelt to change and then we're sorted. This thread has been a good read and prompted me to buy the MPSS dongle just to have a play with the ECU

Graeme

Have you tried putting the file on defender's ignore list? I don't use defender but I have to imagine there is a way to do that.

Hi - there probably is in Defender (or I could run a VM on the laptop maybe) but it's easier for me just to pull out one of the old machines, image an XP OS on there and then use that to experiment with - that way I can jusy zap the XP image and reload if it all goes pear shaped (also that XP machine would have no local network access just in case of nasties).

Did our first long drive in the KJ yesterday - 446 miles and the onboard consumption is being reported as 32 mpg (70 mph on motorways mostly) so quite good I think

Actually not bad advice at all on using an older XP laptop! Anytime I reflash an ECM I use an older XP laptop that has no network or wireless connections enabled...simple and safe
Have no idea how Windows 10 would act?

Windows 10 was working ok for me. Occasionally MPPS wouldn't save reads but it always wrote to the ECU no problem. windows 7 seems to work perfect. I recently pulled my old Thinkpad out to act as a tuning/flashing only laptop and am using Windows 7.

The reason I asked was because I had bitdefender start doing the same thing to me randomly. My PC had it on there for over a year and then one day it decided it was infected and started deleting the exe so I had to put it on the bitdefender whitelist.

Is there a file that does not affect the security system? I have loaded both Nick and Yeti's 808 file with EGR...delete and mild tune listed on the 1st page of this thread but both have caused a no start situation. The small red light on the dash stays on indicating the security system or the security key is not functioning. I can flash back to the OEM tune and it starts fine.

Can someone point me to a file that has addressed this issue?

Thanks!

probably your fil is not the same and have different cheksum , you must be sure the file is the same, if not the risk of a dead ecu is high

Your file number must not be an 808. Read your file number and post it up here. It might be a 533 or something strange like that.
