and how you can flash with a tool the ecu and the GP's management and how you can change it with a flash tool if is not in the ECU , the tools can only read and write the engine management , for read and write other eprom we need an expensive tool or open the ecu and R&W at the bench ......BDM mode

Any scan tool can read and write to this block.

I have an ELM327 that can be used in data mode (all can I think).
You then use a terminal program and write to the ecu through OBDII.

eg. if you want the ecu to return the vehicle VIN number, type:
>0902

Just finished. Goodbye F37, may you rot in hell. Thanks Nick and everyone for all this info, as someone who grew up fiddling with carburetors (gag) this technology is truly a Godsend.

Even rolling stock with the EGR, uh...not working, the performance is great. Might ratchet things up in a while once I've made a few more upgrades.

Thanks again all

I don't know if the GDE tool can update glow plugs or if the person needs to send in his ecu to GDE.
But all of these devices can talk to the ecu (MPPS, Powergate II, elm327); with the right software they all should be able to read and write this data.

Maybe Alientech has some software for your device.

Guys at tdiclub have extended glow plug times:
http://forums.tdiclub.com/showthread.php?t=123304

They have EDC16, we have EDC16, maybe Vag-com would do this for us.

Many guys on this forum (LOST) are using the updated CAN version of vag-com to clear DTC's.
Maybe request someone who has a vag-com to check if they can read that adaptation.

You have a 516.
Forum member Speli was the first to have one. I think that it was close to the 526 and Yeti may have helped him with a tune.

You don't need Titanium.
It is used if you want to modify a tune.
(First page edited to clarify this better)

If you get a tune , send it to me so that I can put it on the first page.

Just my luck Eh . It had to be a rare one and i can not use any other tune unless i want to turn the ECM into a expensive doorstop. I guess i would have to request Yeti for a tune or last resort empty more pockets and get GDE.
I have got weeks kit 1 & 2 and codes flashing are 1140 and 403.

I recommend uploading your original file to have it checked against known files. Mine was an odd one as well, but Squeeto confirmed that it was the same as an 808 tune. I uploaded Yeti's tune and it worked great!

I saw how he recommended doing that and it seems like it is different then all the listed tunes. I might be wrong. But its about my luck :banghead: My last vehicle was a PT Cruiser Turbo and I bought the Diablo Sport Tuner for it... Turns out my turbo was a turbo lite not a GT rendering the programmer useless. Yesterday after i got my cable in the mail and got my software number i had a little flash back haha :dizzy:

Here is what i got and was running against the other OEM versions on the First page
https://www.dropbox.com/s/3u7jwga8jurp1 ... 2.bin?dl=0

Thanks to any and everyone for the help!

Yup, sorry. 1037512032 has never been seen before.
Titanium doesn't have a driver either.
Hmm?

open the 808 tune like an original and manually select the driver cxxx_808 and in the modify menu select your original file , then copy the map and save , and you have your tune , copy only the map in evidence not the little difference in the ecu file , and if you want , post it here and some one watch the tune

So I too have the dang 526 ecu, tried this last night and when I try to save the file it would hang for a min and then under the modify tab instead of my original file name it would have the 808 tune there too. What did I do wrong? Don't really care about the performance of the tune, just wanting the egr fcv delete part.

Anybody else running a Yeti tune get an occasional puff of black smoke out the exhaust?

It happens to me on occasion, when accelerating from a dead stop.
I guess I'm just hitting the throttle a little bit too hard but definitely not flooring it.

I'm not complaining, just an observation.

The black smoke was very heavy and significant and did cause much concern for me.
After confirming that the turbo actuator, vacuum lines, vacuum solenoids, boost hoses, and intercooler were all intact, and functioning normally without leaks, I changed the MAP sensor.

Changing the MAP sensor made a HUGE difference and while there is still some smoke when accelerating from a dead stop it is significantly less.
The MAP sensor was not cruded up and did not require any cleaning. I cant say that it was bad but changing it made a huge difference.

I just wanted to say Thank You Yeti for your tunes. I currently installed Stage II Tune in my Jeep yesterday. The performance is night and day. I'm running with HD torque converter. After installing the tune 1st few things that jumped out to me was throttle response, turbo spooling alot quicker, the transmission actually shifts quicker (I know the tune doesn't change tcm, but the power in the tune is making it work wonderful), also it is holding gears at lower idling speeds w/o shifting down, at idle she purrs like kitten nice and smooth, I noticed MPG started to increase (will report on that later after some driving). I have only had this tune for 2 days, bit so far its great.

^Ditto.

As some may recall i tried flashing my Jeep a couple months ago, with bad results. Turns out trying to read the ECM with a bad battery and no charger can brick it. :banghead: Anyways it now has a new battery, "new" ECM, and i put it on a charger. Loaded Yeti's stage 2 tune, and it started up! Amazing how well this thing runs now, and how clean. Very impressed!

Now for the reason i wanted to tune it, i live in Ohio in the land of diesel performance. I usually sled pull and dirt drag my pick-up, but it has its share of issues at the moment so its parked for a while. Tomorrow night is the local 300ft dirt drag and i plan on racing the no smoke/stock turbo class. 90% of the trucks are gonna be 7klbs/400hp, So hopefully if i show up in a Liberty that weighs 4500, and is making 200hp, it might have a shot at competing.

I just hope this tune doesn't lead me down the wrong path. I bought this to be a DD and possibly sell it, but now i have thoughts of a Hemi TC, TCM tune, exhaust, intake, injectors, some turbo work, and lord knows what else. :ROTFL:
