What was the Bosch part no?
Part No is 1457 434 460.
Marked up as fitting some Fiat and Alfa Romeos aswell!
Will have a look and post up the Baldwin part no aswell.
Ok, double checked.
Baldwin fuel filter is a BF 5587-D, 5 micron media with plastic drain tap, you would need to put your one with the plug on it.
Some fuel filters for the 2.5 CRD come with the plug some don't, the Bosch one had it.
Longlife version of above is FFG-3902309S, which has a metal water drain plug, I assume it is a straight swap for the one with sensor plug.
Baldwin oil filter, anti drain back valve and 30 PSID By-Pass Valve, part no, FFR-PH2870 or B178.
For reference I found these parts on
http://www.inlinefilters.co.ukPrices for oil filter £2.86 and fuel filter £4.63.
In both cases a 1/4 of the price of Bosch parts from EuroCarParts.
I have read that Baldwin filters are good quality.
Any opinions?
As good or better than Bosch or not as good?
Was doing some more mucking about and they do a FRAM PH6682 aswell, though I read on bobistheoilguy that FRAM are not the best.
But when doing so I found
www.filterspro.com that sells the Baldwin B178 for $5.43.
Is that a good price?
