My wife called three different Chrysler dealers today trying to get the VIP history. They all told her to get a Carfax, saying that everyone reports everything to Carfax. The only history on Carfax/Autocheck was some oil changes and emissions checks. Our Liberty looks unaltered (except the EGR cooler hoses look new), but I find it hard to believe I have a 127k CRD that didn't have any work done. Any magic tricks to get the VIP report out of them? I do want to get a second key made, I thought about holding that business as collateral to get the report. They said about $190 OTD for that. Not terrible, just slightly annoying. I don't think it's safe to just have one key that works though. |
