Just a heads up really, if you have a none starting CRD that isn't throwing ECU codes AND you are sure you have all the air out of the lines, test your crank sensor. Mine would randomly fail to start, usually after getting up to temp then being left for more than 15 minutes. Once it wouldn't start I had to leave it for a few hours before it would start. After replacing all the fuel lines, filter head & filter and installing a lift pump I still had the fault. Was pointed in the direction of this thread viewtopic.php?f=5&t=64199&start=80 (thanks papaindigo) & decided to swap out the crank sensor. Low and behold the Jeep is fixed. Did some testing on the CPS and if it gets some heat soak the resistance on the sensor goes through the roof.

Never got more than warm to the touch while over the hob. Hopefully save some others some time fault finding, takes a couple of hours to take the sensor off if you want to test it before replacing.

I also just replace my crank sensor. Mine just died completely though.
I ran when I parked in at night, got up the next morning and it would not start.
Ran through the "normal" issues, nothing. No codes etc.
Put in the new CPS and it was fine.
I have a 95 PSD and carry an extra sensor in it. I used to carry an sensor in our 90 XJ as well. The CPS would randomly go out on both vehicles.
Guess I need a spare for the CRD now....

I had a similar hot start problem on the CRD. Ran fine until you shut it off and try to restart within an hour. Had a faulty injector that was stuck open when warmed up. Had already replaced the crank and cam sensors.

did you get a low fuel pressure fault code with the injector issue?
