Hey,

Has anyone done a mild tune for a 526?
I have Greybeast's 526 EGR/FCV delete - stock but am looking for a bit more and was hoping for bit more then stock.
Also having the P0403 and P1140 error delete would be good.
Thanks
David

PM Yeti, he can build you one.

As to the P0403 & P1140, it is most likely due to the FCV & EGR valve being unplugged.
Appears his 526 EGR/FCV delete tune did not zero out the DTCs for those two items?

Thank you! I have the 603 in my 2005 and just uploaded it. Is there one available with a very mild tune? I'm still blowing a lot of black smoke.
Black smoke even with: new turbo(original was wobbly at the shaft), cleaned and new MAF, new air filter, SAMCO hoses, blocked EGR, etc...

if all it's ok and you still have black smoke , probably is your injector that is failed and leak in the combustion chamber , and a tune can't help

I use winols for tuning , if you need high idle at cold start I can do it , and can change the fueling for better start

I'm sure this was covered already, but do the tunes listed on the first page work with both 7 and 5 volt glow plugs? I believe I have 7 volt right now. Also have an 811 tune.

Thank you all for the MANY days and days and days of reading on this great forum.

I picked up an '06 Liberty CRD Sport with 153,000 on the clock for $2400 and feel the need to start modding.

I've read a lot on the ECU flash process and have successfully installed and run the MPPS only to find that I have 516 software :(

I've looked through the tunes but have not found one for that version. Did I miss it somewhere? If not, do you have any suggestions?

I have already cleaned the MAP, disconnected the MAF, and will be addressing the EGR.

Thanks again for ALL of everyone's input on this forum.

Finely got around to loading and testing the latest mod Marco sent me this evening, WOW! Much more power and no DAT’s with the EGR & FCV completely gone and unplugged.
I can even make the TC slip or chatter with the overdrive locked out.
This is a very high performance tune!!! It Rocks!!!!
This thing has gobs of power!!! Must take it easy on it till I get the new Suncoast TC.
I would call it Stage II or Hot tune.

Squeeto, I will send you a copy, to post. It is for 05's.

Should i hold off from flashing stage 2 or 4 until i get a good TC? also anyone got a link where i can get one? i found on on Sasquatch Parts (https://shop.sasquatchparts.com/product ... -2-8l-crd/) but i dont know if that will be good enough or if I can get one Cheaper.

You can control shudder with your right foot.
When you feel shudder start, just lift the throttle a little.
Its only noticeable in 4th and 5th gears under heavy throttle.

For a new TC, lookup Florida Torque Converter. They are in Cape Coral.
You could probably drive there and talk to them in person.
What you want is a TC for a Dodge Ram 5.7 hemi. Or a TC for a 545rfe with a heavy duty lockup clutch.

You can go ahead and flash to a higher hp & torque tune if you desire, but more than likely you will get torque converter shudder caused by the clutches in the TC slipping when the transmission is in lockup in 4th & 5th gears.
It is very rare indeed that a stock TC will hold the increased torque output, but there have a been a couple reports by members on LOST of theirs holding using a stock TC.

There are several good aftermarket TC's available like the SunCoast and the Florida Torque Converter.
Most very good ones are not cheap, but they will hold any tune you subject them to.
But like Flash suggested, be sure whatever you get is a hemi beefed up TC...

but why you have removed , in edc 15 you only need to plug the vacoom modulator , and how is possible that you have p1140 , you do not have the FCV only the EGR :juggle: :juggle:

But the way I can disable the egr and tuning your KJ if you need

Hello Yeti,

I see your argument regarding the solenoid. The reason I unplugged it is because it seems the fuel consumption has improved dramaticaly without the solenoid plugged in. I think the ecu is using a different mapping when solenoid is unplugged.

If you are able to play with my bin file and create something, I will very much appreciate. Please let me know how to get the file to you? I can also email to you?

Thanks

Adriaan Jansen
