I am surprised that the stock 809 map doesn't auto-detect.
Marco is it more like the 808 or 811 map?

Eskymo would you send me a copy of the original 809? I would like to have a look.

No probs... stoopid question though- how do I send files via the forum? Or, do you have an email I could send to? Sorry, but haven't seen any way to attach a file... Rob

I will have Eskymo send me the map and I will post it here for others to download. Then we will find the hysteresis data.

Is there a way we can advance the timing of the CRD? I don't think we can do it with Titanium unless I'm mistaken. I remember a trick from my Fiero I had that I would use to get better mpg. Stock the timing was set to 8 degrees, but I set it to 12 degrees, kind of extreme, and saw noticeable gains in MPG.

I think the CRD are set to 10, I wonder if we can move that to 12 . . . hmmm

-Grant

I presume you are talking FUEL timing?
Not sure on the VM, but that is one of the things the EDGE box does on my Dodge Cummins (Bosch Pump), it electronically bumps the FUEL timing up a few degrees as you adjust the power levels up from stock. Makes quite a bit of difference on power! :P

Yes sorry I did mean fuel timing. I would really love to hit 30mpg highway out of my CRD,

-Grant

Ok I have looked my 809 file with WinOLS and tried to identify different maps with some success. But what does typical EGR hysteresis map look like?

And also I wonder what this map is for. Something to do with the glow plugs perhaps?

Hi to all. Excellent job folks. One question. I have Jeep Patriot with EDC16U31 ( VW 2.0 PD CRD ) and plan to buy MPPS v 13. Is it possible to read this ECU with it? There is no driver for Jeep Patriot so I plan to select VW Audi / Pasat EDC16U31 driver. Will this work ?

Thank's

If you go to http://flash.ecubin.com/ and enter Jeep Patriot CRD, it says that you need Kess v2 and that you have EDC16+U31.
MPPS doesn't have the Patriot in its vehicle list.
CMDFlash says that they can do this ecu.

Sorry, I don't know.

Nick's 808 ECU/FCV delete + (some) HP tune (vers 1.01) Results:

Miles: 411
Gallons: 18.878
MPG: 21.8

I'm now on Yeti's tune again but version 1.02 however this current tank won't be accurate because I've been pulling a trailer this tank.

My ELM327 OBDII Bluetooth adapter seems to have died. I have my MPPS V13.02 USB cable. What scan software can I use that doesn't coast an arm and leg?

Maybe it is cheaper to buy a new OBDII adapter that comes with software. The MPPS cable is proprietary and OBDII software may not know how to talk to this device.
