Just a guess, it could be the difference between 32 bit and 64 bit systems and compatible software.
I know I have some software that runs just fine on my old XP box; it will load and install on my Windows 10 box, but it just will not function (open)...
Forces you to have to buy newer 64 bit version compatible software! $$$$ :banghead:

Well the desktop out there now is an XP, 32 bit, service package 2 I think? I have one more desktop I can try. Windows 7 64 bit, based on the internet searches from trying to get this to work before, windows 7 should work well EDIT: Windows 7 give me an error, program does not launch besides the little window when device is not connected, then when start is clicked, "An error has occured while deleting file (null). The system cannot find message text for the message. number 0x 18f9d0 in the message file for SETUPAPI.dll. (Error #1636816)" That setup file is found in the two system folders on a 64 bit, so I'm guessing it being 64 bit and having the "right/wrong" setup file in a different place than a 32 bit system is whats causing it. So far, seem to have more progress on the XP desktop. ANOTHER EDIT: This is a v13.02 labeled cable, some sites have shown that it does not work with Chrysler, that could be it or the cable in general is bad. The software is doing everything but connecting to the ECU on the windows XP desktop. Something could be is the program info shows it as being version 12.0.0.6 and hardware version 12.0.

you need to install the v12 first and then the v13 , on winxp sp3 , same on win7 32 or 64 bit , but in win7 you need to install and execute like as administrato, if when you start the programm , you see a little windows with firmware update , the driver is not well installed ,are you sure you select the proper ecu in the car selection form ?

There is no different v12 or v13 given to me on the disk, the disk gave me an install file, then it installs MPPS in a folder, in that folder there is two different versions, MPPS, from 2011, (The one that has been opening and not reading the ECU) then an MPPS UPDATE, from 2012, that will open in the small window, but cannot find the device after that. I tried all 4 versions for the jeep line

The software is the same as what I already have, tried running it in admin mode, normal mode. MPPS runs fine(The version 12), does not read ECU at all. MPPSUPDATE (Guessing it is version 13.02 for real) will not load past the cannot find device screen. Ran it off of a flashdrive and the harddrive as well

Is it installing the drivers?
When I loaded mine originally, I had to manually install the drivers before it would work.
Just a guess....

Go to Device Manager and check the COM ports with the cable pugged in.

Can someone help me? I am running the 808 stage 2 program. I have done the Weeks stage 1 & 2 EGR delete and I am getting a CEL P0403 exhaust gas re circulation control circuit.

Here is the program I am running. Squeeto made some mods to it last year and I am still getting the P0403.

Have you tried loading one of the other Yeti tunes off the first page of this thread to see if the problem goes away?
If not you may want to try that and see if it cures the problem.

The program I currently have is Yeti's 808 EGR/FCV delete + Stage 2 hot tunes.

Unless he has changed it in the last year it does not help.

I will re load it again into my jeep and see if it has been updated.

Thank you

Why doesn't the 808 have a stage 4 hot tune?

I have ECM Titanium on may laptop.

I see that on the 808 DTC it shows that P0403 is in location (052) E48A5 = 17

In ECM titanium I have found address 0E48A0

I am not sure what I am looking at. Just guessing I need to go over to 05 across the top.

In the map there is the number 11 in that location.

Do I need to change that 11 to 00?

Thank you
Tony

I tried these programs yesterday and my CEL is still on.

I used the scanner and I still have the P0403.

Can someone help me get rid of this code on my wife's jeep.

Thank you
Tony

A few thoughts,
P0403 is a failure of the EGR 'A' control circuit, EGR control circuit/open.
EGR volume control solenoid valve harness is open or shorted

Read more: https://www.engine-codes.com/p0403_chrysler.html
Is your EGR & FCV both unplugged?
Do you still have your old EGR valve, if so, you may want to plug the electrical connector back in to it temporarily and see if it will clear up the P0403 DTC.
Have you tried unplugging the MAF and see if it makes any difference?

This one is very puzzling if you are running a Yeti tune that has both the EGR & FCV DTC's 0 out...

I have completely removed the EGR system with the Weeks stage 1 & 2 kit.

I no longer have the EGR to plug back up.

I am very illiterate with ECM Titanium. I was able to open the program and view the HEX code. I do not understand what I am looking at so I am afraid to make any changes.

Thank you for your input. If you have any other ideas I am willing to give it a try.

Prior to installing the Weeks kit I ran it with the MAF sensor unplugged. I was told it would keep the EGR from functioning.

Thanks again

I am not sure how long the links to this topic will last because of the Photobucket fiasco.

I will probably edit everything over to postimage but it would be so much better if LOST could host the files.

I have a few member bins in my inbox to share but they will have to wait.
