Dez, Yeti. It's a USA model. I would love to have a file like Yeti's 808 file : EGR/FCV/DTC code delete + Mild tune. I believe it's either an 035, or a 526. In MPPS it shows as Chrysler software 1037377526. I'm just really not sure which it is. Thanks for any help. I have my factory file if anyone would care to have a look at it. Maybe it can be modded, and posted along with the others on page 1.

The 811 file you tried, only works with 2005 models.
The 808 file you name above, only works with 2006 models.
Don't be afraid to try it and see, if it doesn't work you can re-write your original back, as before.
My experience with the tune you state above, still requires the EGR solenoid actuator coil to be connected (or replaced with an 8 ohm resistor) to be DTC-free and no MIL. At the top of this page is quoted a link from Dez, to a version that is fully DTC-free, we are told. I have not confirmed this on my own.
If these don't work for you, or do not accomplish what you want, there is plenty of information about modifying your own tune, OR, you can buy a tune from GDE, or buy a custom one from Yeti.

So I wrote Yeti's 808 flash to my jeep, and then read the ECU. It comes up as my factory flash, as if it did not overwrite my original software. I can't tell any difference in the way it runs and drives either. Maybe I'll try again later in slow write mode to see if that does the trick. I DO have the 2006 model, but it shows up as an 035/ 526 ECU. Thanks.

It's from a Windows 7 laptop. I am not technologically advanced enough to really understand the video comparison. I figure it's a graph of different shift and timing points, but I don't understand the comparison. I guess I have much learning to do. So I am guessing that I can't use the 808 then? If not, can you pm me a cost for you to mod my factory flash file?

[Edit 1] I just used winmerge to compare my file with the 526 and the 808. There are less than 10 differences with the 808, and over 90 with the 526. I don't know if that means anything or not, but it makes me think I'd have a better chance using the 808.

[Edit 2] I just flashed your 808 mod file again, and then did a read of my ECU again. I then did a comparison of the factory read vs after flash read, and now it shows 55 differences. So i guess it must have written something. I don't know if that's good or bad, but we'll see.

Thanks for your time Marco.

Jack.

Post subject:  Re: DIY ECU Flash

the difference from 808 is in one or two management , in the viscous heater and in the checksum ,the big difference from the 526 is in the software memory programming , and at the end ther is a part of software not aligned ........if you write the 526 the car not start and probably you brick the ecu

To sum up my experience - it was really educating and end of day useful to my Jeep.

Since my EURO version have 806 - seems not very common version and apardo001's 806 is different at least one area I didn't want risk anything and did every change into my original firmware. I followed all hints and tips what I found, safety notes etc. After successful upload car started and I verified via OBDII MAF readings values (17.9 g/s at idle immediately) that my EGR/FCV is really deleted. Now about 1000 km later everything seems to be OK.

Thank you Yeti to look over my changes and help to point out DTC code parts. And thank you all others who have been participated into this DIY ECU thread.

So far after buying this CRD with 136,000 miles on it, I have replaced both lower control arms, struts, outer tie rods, MAP sensor, air filter, inline fuel pump, installed inline t-stat <-----Love it! , glow plug number 1, 2, & then tried #4. That's where it went bad. Threads stripped and wont come out, or go back in. It just spins to infinity and beyond now  Now I know I will most likely need to pull the head to fix the issue.  Still starts and runs the same, but I know I must be losing compression from the cylinder. Fuel mileage also blows with about 18.5 mpg before, and after that even happened. I think it is another issue. Gotta do a timing belt change, and then hang myself.

Many threads about pulling heads and timing belt changes.

I don't think we have one for that last bit.

Yep been on that rope thing myself. Read the P0700 P0714 Trouble Code thread for some catharsis. Replace the head with a new one and new rockers, have the other one rebuilt and store or sell. Best way to go since you can just keep going on the job with new parts and not wait for a rebuild and loose your pace/motivation. Best tip is to use alignment studs to drop to rocker cover on squarely and use lots of assembly lube to keep the rockers in place, everything else is laid out on on other threads.

Now that I've found my last issue I'm gonna burn yeti's mild tune into the machine again with my new SST tranny and TC,

Hat Tip to Yeti

Hi,

Could someone give me EGR/FCV delete tune for version 806. The one from first page seems to not be working correctly and engine light stays on. Thanks.

First page regarding apardo001's 806 tune isn't updated yet. Correct EGR/FCV deletion file is mentioned viewtopic.php?f=98&t=78418&start=1420#p923011

Would appreciate some help on this one; have searched but can't find what I'm looking for.

I'm currently running Yeti's Stage 2 811 tune. When I first applied it, the EGR and FCV were still installed. That has changed, and I'd like to get rid of the MIL that's on because of them.

I can't find the appropriate tune with DTC delete - could someone please point me in the right direction? MAF sensor is reconnected, if that makes any difference. Thanks.

It's my understanding that all of these showing EGR/FCV delete (at least the 811s) have the DTC-MIL turned off.

Ok, read this thing from top to bottom or skimmed should I say. I have seen one issue similar to what I am facing but at the same time different. Got a mppsv13 cable off amazon and the programing refused to work, It would Id ecu but not read it. Downloaded the software again from link in post and same story. What are the odds of receiving a damaged cable? This is what I got

VIN No' : 1J4GL58546W283859
Chrysler Ecu Type : BOSCH EDC16C/C2-9.9
Chrysler File No' :1037377526
Chrysler Software No' : 56044776BA
Chrysler Factory No' : CA6VU62K4XX02
Bosch Ecu Version No': RB Cnt-No CR3K/624C
Bosch Prodution No' : RB SW-No 2.8l/118K
Ecu found on CAN.

Not tech savvy at all but am trying my best. I followed it step by step with no luck.
I also get a application error when I close it down.
Application error, the instruction on 0x0000002d referenced memory at 0x0000002d. the memory could not be read. click the terminate the program.

Post subject:  Re: DIY ECU Flash

Good Morning everyone!

First off, a big thank you to everyone on this site and in this thread for all their perseverance! Great community here.

Now to get on with it! I have a 2005 CRD Liberty (US) with about 154k on the clock. I recently added the frankenlift and 245/75s which lead me to wanting to tune this puppy up a little bit to get some of my power back and finally get rid of the FCV/EGR DTC.

So I found this thread, did all my due diligence. I got my cable in, loaded MPPS and found out I have a "521" ecu.

Just for kicks I loaded the "Yeti 811 stage 1 tune" (third down the list) and once it was loaded the dash lit up like a Christmas tree and got a dead response from trying to start the Jeep. So I loaded nicks "808 some HP tune" (first one the list) and got the same result.

No worries as I was able to load my stock map and everything was back to normal but to get to the meat and potatoes of this post, does anyone have a tune that would work with a 521 ECM? I'm mainly looking to get rid of the DTC but as said earlier a little power bump would be nice as I do tow a boat about twice a month. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Closest thing I saw on the list of tunes was the 526 with the DTC delete only but I got a little shy after two dead attempts.

Thanks,
RageKG
