Welcome. You have come to the right place. As I recall, the CRDs were not sold in CA, so you're going to be pretty much on your own. Pull the MAP sensor out and inspect. If it is crusty you will need to do something about the EGR ASAP. If it's clean, perhaps the PO has taken care of this already. If you do need to do something about the EGR, the Weeks stuff looks nice, but I really love my GDE tune. More power, better fuel economy, reduced EGR. Don't know why you would need rockers or pulleys (except maybe the one on the alternator), but they're easy enough to check when you're doing the studs. I bought a set of rockers for mine, but when I did my studs I found that they were in fine shape so I did not replace them. Instead, spring for a Weeks stage 1 kit. Another problem you should address soon if it hasn't been fixed already is the air leaks in the fuel system and the fuel filter head. Use the search function. |

Welcome to LOST Issues you might have TB, if it hasn't been changed will need to be soon - belt, tensioner, idlers - While your in there might as well swap out the water pump. Air in fuel: can be caused by the connections at the fuel tank or the first generation fuel filter assembly - Get the new fuel filter - install an in-tank lift pump. (wiring and fuse came from the factory but DC elected to cut corners and delete the pump) - replace the fuel hose at the tank with new lines Clogged up intake - EGRectomy and clean the MAP sensors - Check OEM turbo hoses for oil and gunk, clean or replace - "Pro-vent" or Elephant hose to eliminate oil in intake Head Gasket Leak - If you don't have any water in the overflow section of the coolant tank and coolant isn't being lost as you drive, say amen. - ARP studs and a new head gasket are usually the cure if there is no head warpage CRD running cold - OEM Thermostat is a piece of crap. I have gone through one a year. Get on the list for billet replacement TStat Stuff that makes it more fun to drive - GDE tune - New Torque converter for the added power from GDE - Lifts and Armor if your into offroading .... how deep are your pockets. As far as sourcing parts, IDparts is great, Rockauto is my goto. You are now LOST |
