I have noticed a small seepage of tranny fluid that seems to be coming from on top of the tranny case. Is there a vent/hole that could be causing this? Doesn't seem to happen when the car is sitting. It's right on top of the tranny drain plug, but up on top. any ideas?

There is a small metal vent tube on top of the transmission case; but ATF fluid should never come out of this vent unless there is some internal problem causing it!
Are you sure it is not coming from some other location?
If the vent is clogged or plugged and when the fluid gets hot it will purge (vent) itself out whatever way it can.

If the fluid is getting overheated and and is overfilled, it could cause it.
The first thing I would check is the fluid level. Running in Neutral on level ground.
If it is way overfilled it could spill out the vent when the fluid gets hot.

it seems to be right on top of the torque converter. it seems strange that it would come from on top, but the bottom seems to be leak free. Seems to be from around a linkage connection into the torque converter...does that seem plausible?

Can you post any pictures; that would help diagnose.
