I have a 2005 Liberty CRD. The ABS & brake warning are lit-up. I had the ABS checked while having new brakes installed on the front. The tech said there were no codes set. The EGR destroyed the turbo & cat, Replaced the turbo, deleted the EGR, gutted the cat, replaced the muffler, replaced the fuel filter head with different fuel filter arrangement. I have po183 and po401 codes, I can clear the 401 code but comes back once in awhile, the 183 is persistent. The repair manual says to reflash the ECM after making repairs. What is the best way to do this with out going to the dealer?

P0183 is the fuel temp sensor and P0401 is EGR Code, You probably have both unplugged?

I expected the 183 & 401. I blocked the EGR and eliminated the fuel heater head. I need to find a way to reflash the ECM so the computer will quit looking for info from these parts. This jeep is turning into quite a project, wish it wasn't so expensive. I had a 2001 Dodge Cummins for 15yrs, it was a sweetheart, I guess I was expecting another love affair.

You can hook up the fuel temp sensor and just zip tie it to the side and that will take care of that code. Did you leave the egr hooked up but blocked jt from routing to the intake?
