after looking i found this to be easy and effective. I used a piece of sheet aluminum from home depot. folded one edge over to make a 90. then i used a 3/16 metal bar in a vice to beat a U shape into the sheet. cut 2 little pieces and fastened to the bottom half of the shroud. i cut mine a little below the middle of the shroud. The top half of the shroud slides in to the slots real easy and it seems to stay nice and tight once the upper shroud bolts are in place. Whoever thought of the 2 piece shroud idea gets thumbs up from me. This makes working on the front of the engine so much easier https://1drv.ms/i/s!AjoXnVa96mPNmJdaJqNOS2xHE3jnIA https://1drv.ms/i/s!AjoXnVa96mPNmJdZ8qmd99ixP1ikGw |

It's a great idea, but I see you made the same mistake I did. Just make absolutely sure, that if the fan is on the engine, that you never ever fire it up without the top half being properly installed and bolted to it's mounts. The fan WILL eat it. ask me how I know...... |

good warning. I never thought about that. Maybe a tie-wrap at the bottom would secure it. I'll see if that's possible. |
