That's one way to use up your old radiator hoses! How long do you figure it'll last? Anyone want to start a pool sheet? https://www.amazon.com/Fernco-Dtc-110-Reducing-Sleeve-Seal/dp/B001PPEO7E/ref=sr_1_111?srs=2591780011&ie=UTF8&qid=1507871680&sr=8-111 |

If and when they do break, I will have universal replacements on hand ready to install! |

I always gravitate to heavier and beefier than O.E. specifications if possible, so perhaps your radiator hose mock-up will actually end up being better than a normal boot. I am a little concerned about how the hose will stand up to being constantly in contact with that grease, so please keep us posted about how it is holding up. |

No parts retailer in this town can even order a replacement boot (I checked), all they can do is sell you a new ball joint! Time will tell on the homemade cover... |

How have these held up? Might even consider putting some over the original boots to see if they last longer. |

I check them every time I have the Jeep on the rack to change oil and so far they are holding up just fine. The rubber is much thicker than OEM so they should hold up for a long time as long as they don't split. Their main purpose is to keep grit out of the BJ. If I ever have to replace the ball joints, I want some with grease fittings. |
