| Post subject: | 2006 Liberty CRD P1140 code |
My 2006 Liberty CRD gave me a code P1140 It runs fine but I have noticed 2 problems First thing is temp gauge now runs dead in middle as straight up but normally it would be below that mark even in summer. Second thing I noticed now is she starts good cold but when warm takes few extra revolutions before firing up Any thoughts. |

P1140 EGR Throttle Control Circuit Open Possible Causes EGR Airflow control valve connector is damaged (check pins for damage) EGR Airflow control valve control circuit is open or shorted to ground EGR Airflow control valve supply circuit is open (check power from ASD relay) EGR Airflow control valve has failed |
