Some other owners may have installed one, I have
no experience with them.
Personally, I don't think it is necessary unless you live in an area where it gets really cold.
I would think the fan control sensor would help control fluid temperature.
I have a transmission temperature gauge and the fluid heats up fairly quickly even in below freezing starts in like a mile or two and allows overdrive & lockup to kick in.
But if I lived where it gets
really cold like down in the teens and below, it might be a real good idea to have one.
