Looking to lift my CRD so i can run 245/75r16 BFG A/ts ... has anyone tried running that size on with a 2” lift and was there any rubbing?

This is the lift kit i am looking at:

I ran 245/75/r16s with 2 inches of "spacer" lift (top plates +clevis+longer strut forks) on sagged stock springs before I upgraded to my current setup. I had to pound the pinch welds in front and trim a small amount of the lower air dam to prevent rubbing. I use 1.25 inch thick wheel adapters so I can run wheels from a jk, which made the rubbing a bit worse when turning the wheels, so probably you'd be better off with stock wheels. 3/4 inch blocks above the rear springs were enough to level it in the back and I had no rubbing concerns there.

That said, there was no rubbing during on road use, but you'll get rubbing with that tire size if you flex the suspension too much in an off road situation. Remember with spacers, you'll only be lifting 2 inches on top of an already sagged suspension. My fender to center of hub measurement on that setup was like 18.75"

The 1.5" ome lift, which nets much more total lift due to using new springs, will give you plenty of room for 245/75/16s on a kj crd. My fender to center of hub with the ome and top plate and some clevis is 20.5".

Have a 2" lift along with a 1/2" clevis spacer up front which gives me 2.5" total lift and running 245x75x16 on stock wheels with no spacers and have never experienced any tire rubbing issues.
My tires are all terrain and not a real aggressive tread pattern. Be aware, some tires even in the same rated size are slightly taller and have more of a square shoulder on the tread versus a more rounded shoulder tread pattern. I believe the more aggressive tread patterns like full blown mud tires with deeper treads and square shoulders can attribute more to tire rubbing issues even with a lift installed.

Wild Country Radial XTX Sport All-Season
I am able buy tires wholesale from a local tire distributor and get dealer prices with my garage discount which saves a bunch of money.
When I bought these back in 2013, I paid less than $100 each for them and am still ridding on them, have had no problems with them, and they still have plenty of tread left, only look about 1/2 worn.
I do keep them rotated and balanced and have had alignment done on the jeep.

I'm on bridgestone dueler at revo2. They came stock on jk's for a while and I have been able to pick up 3 used sets locally with matching wheels. I kept the best 6 (including 2 never used spares) and have resold the rest.
