Threw a shift kit and suncoast in over the last week. Wanted to do front pump but it was sold out everywhere with no idea when stock will come. It looked good and the shift kit contained many updates for it. I was experiencing a little shudder now and then, and no drain back, ran great but I want to build a good little tow pig so had to upgrade. Test drove and already feels better, smoother, quieter, and about 500rpm less all around. With my stock tcm I think I’ve arrived at the best it can be.
FYI I did not install resistor.
Also removed leaking oil cooler from loop and installed a plate style in grille with AN6 hose and fittings. Now to find a way to monitor temp.

I installed my transmission temperature gauge sending unit in the transmission cooler line going to the transmission cooler.
I had read that the transmission pan is not the most accurate place to locate the sensor.
The 3/8 line sensor block and fittings were sourced from SummitRacing.com

See this thread for all the install details:> viewtopic.php?p=927960&sid=1c89fcfb55cd33750674589ab05ad8ed#p927960

Thanks, that looks like a good solution. Agree that fluid exiting the trans to cooler is best for testing, do you happen to know which hose that is? The top of bottom one.

Ah, I figured. Thanks for that. So what’s the latest word on the resistor? I’ve read conflicting reports on do or don’t install.
