heck yeah!!! why not??? you have my number so just call me :) ill get a group together...you all might want to stay over a night...i'd hate for you all to drive back from a long day of wheeling

we can go wheeling then go eat somewhere NICE...like the Harbor at Lees Ford Marina...since where I'm going to lead you all we will be passing there going back into town. does your buddy have a KJ too?

KJ_WHEELER_2010: do you want to come down too?

gastip: if you can go to, i would love for you too. but i know why you can't. if you see this gastip, would you want to try to meet up with us to eat somewhere so we all could have a chat about jeeps???

just saying hello. Im currently in the navy and statione in Groton, CT but in 6 months or so ill be moving back home to KY. Most likly ill be in the somerset area. All depends on how my job leads works out. But anyways. Hi, I'm Chris. I traded an 01 dodge durango(which i absolutly loved) for my 05 jeep liberty renegade and havnt looked back since. I loved my durango but this jeep kills it. Im jeep for life now.

Hey Chris!

Always good to have another Jeepin' buddy in the area. KJ Wheeler is in Afghanland right now, besides him and one other guy that was the only LOST KY people I had meet. I live in the Somerset area, and know of some good trails. Just PM me if you have any other questions, etc...

Happy Jeepin'
Sarah

Hey, maybe when I come home on R&R in July/Aug we can finish that trail that ran along the river bottoms. Water should be pretty low that time of year also so shouldnt be a big deal.

Just thought I'd drop buy again and let everyone know Im in Somerset now. Out of the Navy finally and back home. Once I get a job and get settled I plan to be a lot more active here and also plan to finnaly start modding the jeep. As of now its still a stock 05 renegade.
Its good to be back home.

Lucky you :D I'll be there in a few more months tops if not sooner. So, we'll have to get a trail ride going or something.

Id definitely like to do something. All ive been through thus far is a ton of snow and a few puddles. As far as oil center, ive heard of it but never been there. After talking to my brother it sounds like he knows a guy with a liberty thats basically stock as well that has been out there a bunch. Not sure if he is a member or not but i told my brother to talk to him. ill be sure to text or call sometime.

Wanna meet up somewhere in town Saturday evening? I'm taking the doors off and showing it in the carshow Saturday. I really don't want to but they're giving I believe 5 free raffle tickets for each show car that shows up; on the 1966 Convertable Mustang that's going to be given away. Already have my show pass and if it wasn't for that, I probably wouldn't go! :ROTFL: :ROTFL:
Keep an eye out for me this weekend in town (especially Saturday evening).
My Jeep may not look as good as a pristine 66 Mustang, but I still have several people come up and ask me about the Jeep. Not counting the many weirds looks I get and thumbs up from random people. :-)r :-)r :ROTFL:

We should plan on a BBQ or something late Oct. I should be back in mid Sept. Then when I go pick the Jeep up I'm gonna do the LOST trip to Harlan in Oct. So if we could get a group together to do some wheeling late Oct that would be nice. This gives us some time to plan things out.

Sounds like a plan!

I suggest a drive through Daniel Boone Natl' Forest. Then drive to Oneida, TN for some pizza. Oneida isn't far from where I explore the Daniel Boone Forest. Maybe we could go to Cumberland Falls to eat instead.

Id be down for that.
Sorry i didnt see your message in time. Wouldn't have mattered i guess though as it was my brothers birthday that night. The morning though we went out somewhere (oil center?) to shoot and ended up driving a few trails. Not sure exactly where it was as I was a follower but it was fun. I though we were just going to shoot but apparently we hit the trails as well. here are a couple of videos of this bit of rock we played of. Was nothing major but still fun.

I wouldhave texted or called or something if i knew we where gonna go off road. Oh well though. Plenty of time.

Think I'm gonna try and get a ride together again and head down to Dirty Turtle again. Do some wheeling.

It's okay, don't worry. I was working anyways and then that evening I went out on the lake, so I didn't even get to take the doors off. Or even go to the carshow. :(
From the looks of it, you were in Oil Center but the area you were in wasn't familiar to me. Must be because the water level has went down MORE! :-)r
I liked the videos though. You need to check out the 2011 LOST ECS thread. A bunch of us are going to BlackMountain for a weekend of wheeling. There's some trails out there a stocker with skids can do, but if not there will be plenty of us that will let you ride shotgun.

P.S. Next time you all go wheeling in Oil Center, be careful. The KY Fish and Wildlife game wardens are cracking down on people they catch off the road down there. They'll write you a ticket and give you a hefty fine. My step-dad was a game warden for 30yrs (around this area). Might give me an edge but I doubt it! :ROTFL:
