So LibertyCRD suggested him and his buddy would like to go on a trail ride in a couple weeks with me. I guess this is a sign-up list of who's wanting to go...

it will be in Somerset, KY...you can private message me for directions...
(you don't need skids really unless your that worried about your jeep)

Ok well let me check with him and see what's up. He's got a WJ and we still haven't lifted it yet (Planning to do that next weekend) and he's a rookie so I'll have to see if he wants to come down there and learn the ropes or not. Will get back with you later...

(btw.. still haven't come up with any ideas on the TPMS sensors. i think i'm out of choices unless i want to pay big $$$)

So where is this place? What's it called? What kind of terrain is it? Who owns it? Will we get arrested if we're caught there? lol.. 8) We need some details girl! What's the scoop? I'm going to talk to my wheelin' buds about it, but I need a little basic info. first.

Well, depending on whether I buy my skids next week or so. We will be going to Sand Springs. It's a 5 hr trail, lots to do and the terrain varies. There's hills, mud, mud holes, rock, creeks etc. We won't get in trouble. Then there's this place called Oil Center in Somerset, you can start out where I live and end up all the way in Nancy (which is 15 miles from my house I think??..that is Nancy not the trail itself). I have to ask this buddy of mine if he can show me out to Sand Springs, for one I have not been there before and I really want to go. I would say Oil Center, but that trail wouldn't be worth the drive down here for you guys. Maybe we could hit Oil Center on the way back to Somerset. There are some places in Oil Center that are off limits but we still go through it anyways. I know the Fish and Wildlife officers that patrol the area, plus my soon to be step-dad is a US Marshall and part-time cop. Plus I have some friends that are cops. So the trouble part is okay on that sense.

Depending on if it rains between now and then, I would suggest tow hooks and skids. Definately skid plates for Sand Springs, if you have a lifted Jeep I wouldn't worry too much but if it's a stocker, I WOULD DEFINATELY BUY SOME SKIDS BEFORE I GO. When it rains at both of these places, the roads get sloppy and muddy. Since I'm going on hear-say for Sands Springs, not sure what it would be like.

How many wheeling buddies do you have???

Hope that answers your questions...

Oh really? Normally, when somebody tells me that I NEED skid plates for a certain trail...that's not a good sign. :dizzy: I don't really care to beat this Jeep up since it's my only one right now. 8) But we'll try and check it out though.

Well my Jeep has enough ground clearance that it will be okay. I'm just not sure about everyone else. Next week I'm going ahead and buying skid plates, just to be safe this time. :)
