Hey Guys and Gals, if you have a Frankenlift that has the clunking at full droop, please read. The upper ball joint can contact the spring at full droop. This can happen on other lifts as well. The issue has been brought up that the bump on some recent Frankenlifts aren't tall enough. We can't make the mold for part any differently, so All J Products has decided to go back to the bump and clamp that we used earlier this year. The only reason for the change was that a few customers didn't like the clamp and bump so we tried to fix the problem of looks/ finish by adding molded bump on the new part. This problem hasn't affected all Frankenlifts that have gone out, only some.

If you have an issue, please call me and I can send you out the old style bump and clamp that 100% fixes the issue at NO CHARGE. It's an easy conversion and we will walk you through it.

Now that I got to stop by AllJ and pickup these bumpstops, I thought I'd post on how to put them on.

Jack up on the lower control arm to create as much room as possible by the UBJ. Use a short saw (I like this camp saw because it eats stuff in a hurry

) to cut a flush edge in the rubber. (*** CUT ON THE SIDE AWAY FROM THE ABS SYSTEM ***(

Once you have it flat, use the piece you removed to give you a flat reference plane to hold up the bumpstop while you work the hose clamp.

When finished:

Is that suppose to stop any rubbing from a Frankenlift?

Why not just use Al's upper arms? Wouldn't that be better solution?

$350 vs. an hour under the KJ. Once I get the $$$, it's on my todo list, but for now, it keeps the UBJ safe.

It stops the UBJ from impacting on the coil spring, so it reduces any clacking at droop (speed bumps, etc.)

Kodak z740 (5.1mpix). I like it because the other cameras are too small for my hands. This one feels like a real camera rather than a toy (nothing against anyone who has the small ones). I can't wait to try it out at Moab!

Im sure you read where ed said this moose, but spraying some silicone on that pad will help keep it from turning. :wink:
