Well there are several other topics with this but i put new zerex G-05 coolant in this weekend. I ended up getting about a gallon and 1/4 drained out of the system. I found a piece of hose to connect to the drain cock and then just let it drain right into some old antifreeze bottles that i had around.
The long part of this was to let it drain. I let it sit about 2 hours to let it fully drain as much as i could and it was still going very slowly when i stopped it.

Very easy to do this and saves a good amount of money.

Mixing wasnt a big deal just use distilled water and remember how much of each to make a 50 50 mix.

Once you drained the coolant and ready to fill it back up do you just pour the coolant in the reservoir? How long did you let you KJ cool before doing it (I know you can't do it while its hot)?

Use the reservoir to fill up as much as you can, than you can start the engine and contine to add more coolant until it's full. This really should be done with as much added to the reservoir as possible though to avoid getting air pockets trapped in different areas of the block / heater core / radiator.

Thanks for the pictures... Coolant is on my short list this winter. (thank goodness for all the threads about it recently to keep reminding me)
