I was reading one of my four wheeler mags and they were talking about EFI performance and they said that larger throttle bodies create more power. On ebay every now and then they sell a 65mm TB for the liberty. It was also said that your fuel injectors need to put out enough fuel or you will run lean in the high rpms. How do you feel about this bigger throttlebody?

Thanks,

Chris

You could try a larger throttle body, but I don't know that I would go to 65mm. You might loose some low end torque. You would probably need to look at something like an Apexi to control your air/fuel mixture and maybe larger injectors. The stock fuel pump makes just over 50 psi, so I think it would be fine. I would think you're going to need to get the computer flashed to really get it to work well also.

The injectors are pretty standard and it shouldn't be difficult getting some that are a little bigger. To keep from having any down time I purchased an extra computer from Autocraft, sent that to B&G, had the VIN from my Jeep written to it, and had the dealership program the sentry keys for it.

I kept my old computer so I can get the B&G reprogrammed any time I want. The spare ECU was $250 plus a $75 core charge from Autocraft. You have to be careful getting one from a junk yard, becuase most places can not reprogram the VIN. KRC had the programming done by B&G for $450.
