just want some thoughts

if i was to install a Daystar 2 1/2" lift in the front and an OME rear spring 40mm and add some extra rear spring isolators to even it out, Do you guys think there would be a problem with that?

i throw myself on the mercy of the forum

or what about shaving the front puck down half an inch?

Actually, I think that's kinda how the Frankenlift is done. OME springs on the front using Daystar hardware. But I don't have the lift, so maybe someone will have better insight than I.

No that's not the Frankenlift - he's talking about OME in the rear and Daystar in the Front...

Why not just get a set of the Daystar 1.5" pucks for the front? They do / did make them and shouldn't be too hard to find. That would leave you pretty level without having to shave down anything or add isolators, etc.

Your other option would be to use the 2.5" puck in front and use Skyjacker rear coils. It just depends how much lift you are looking for.

To take it one step further, one could install the full suspension lift and then add spacers to net roughly 4" of lift...JeepinAl?

Yea you can do that but it is going to be a real problem for the CVs. A KJ can be lift higher than 2.5-3" but after 3" the CVs are in danger. Hope that helps. later...Clint

Yeah, JeepinAl mentioned that his CVs were binding badly with that much lift. Not recommended.

its VERY hard to find Daystar in Australia, so I am lucky to find the 2 1/2" system, And the fact i have the OME rear springs in my Garage makes me think about using them in the rear,

i know the Frankenlift uses the daystar top plate and the small spacer i guess i am asking what is the size of the small spacer and if there would be any issues in shaving down the 2 1/2" puck down to 2" to give a little better flex ( front spring not so compressed)

Just to let you know Fouros, I have the OME rear springs and they gave me just about 2.5" of lift. I know they say only 1.5" but I got 2.5" I think if you put a small spacer in the front a 1.5" spacer you should sit pretty level.

i guess i should clarify

Front: I am looking at a Daystar 2 1/2 " lift ( maybe shaving down the puck 1/4 to 1/2" ) Its VERY hard to find a daystar lift in AUS so i have grabbed it with both hands

Rear: 40mm 1 1/2" Old Man emu springs with an extra isolator OR daystar 2 1/2" puck

i guess i am trying to find out if anyone thinks that a daystar 2 1/2 "puck at the front and an OME 1/12 rear spring with an extra set of isolators would give me crap handling or look too nose high,

ok back to the guru's :D

I think it would probably sit pretty level. My rear OME medium springs gave me just about 2.5" in the rear. Plus stock the KJ sits about a 1/2 lower in the front.

not a problem, looking forward to seeing the results, pity there's so much space between towns to catch up.

May have to get a LOST Chapter up and running properly down here hey so we can get together for a wheel'n trip.
