This goes out to all the midwest members (especially the ones at last saturdays lift party at Don C's) I talked the wife into lifting the liberty for "RIDE QUALITY" so im gonna start putting money away and i need some feedback on different lifts... and maybe a contact or "hook-up" on some MT/R's possibly w/moab rims... or keep the stockers it will take a while but im hoping by fall of '06 to have a lift party....

oh, Ive wanted to lift my KJ for some time now... but i came home and talked to her on how "nice" it rides and that it doesnt screw with the trans or trancase or shafts... ect... Don offered me his old lift set up... and that would be a start then upgrade to something new and awesome,,, get the tires and tear some doo doo up... 8)

I have the front stuff for the RR combo lift. All you should need to get is a couple (Daystar?) 2.5" spacers for the rear. I know All J has the spacers, but ask around here and you might be able to find some used ones somebody is getting rid of for pretty cheap. Longer shocks / struts also eventually, but I don't think you need them right away (my old Ranchos are still in the strut assembly, but not sure what condition they are in).

Thanx don, I will look into the spacers (Daystar) but i am also thinking now about just getting some new rear springs.... and rear shocks... then when the time/$ is right ill swap your front assembly for new spring/strut for the front..... i want to tow and im not sure i would trust just rear spacers to hold up vs. new springs.... but either way we decided to lift it before the fall. So when i get it all together then I have a lift party... THIS TIME ILL BUY THE PIZZA!

If you do tow and do get new rear springs then be sure to get HD ome's. They are GREAT for towing and holding weight, the stock springs were too.

Me too!!! A little trading, a little rationalization, bingo, I convinced my wife that 2 inches would make me more viral. Yes, I had lift envy, I was feeling a little inadequate, questioned my manhood, around all those lifted jeeps at Don's.

I just ordered the kit, don't know when I'll get it, I might be able to host a lift party at my place in Elgin.
