Hello LKJW people,

I don't own a KJ, but an XJ rather and have seen a lot of pics and trail write-ups from the past 6 months. I love what I see and am interested in doing a trail run when I get me new (to me) 95 XJ Sport (Bone Stock) lifted/locked/armored. I do belong to NAXJA and SOCAL XJ. I hope that's not a strike or two against me. I was looking for more people who live in the San Diego area to go wheelin with because most of the SOCAL XJ peeps live up near LA.

Anyhow, great site and awesome rep. :D

Thanks for checking the post and I look forward to airing down with you in the future,

L8r,
Coullt

Welcome to the family.

We are looking to do some runs down in that area, so if you have any suggestions, please post them.

Tread lightly and carry a jeep full of washers. 20 is all you'll need.

Thanks for the welcome and the advice on the washers.

I like doing Saturday runs out to Corral Canyon (Sidewinder/Outer Loop) and there is a harder trail out there called BRonco Peak that some of you might have heard of. I have not yet run Bronco Peak. I am looking forward to some skid plates and rocker guards as I tend to drag more than crawl- you know how it is. I have successfully completed both of the other courses I mentioned with a 2 inch BB and 30 inch MT/Rs.

Here are some shots of that from my Jeep that got stolen in Jan- (these are pics of sidewinder)

That was the Toad- RIP
That was a great trip. Hope those photos help. I like Corral Canyon(Morena Lake area) because it is a day trip and has pretty decent flexing potential and covers the basics of offroad driving.

3rd to last picture has my interest .....where is that ? Sidwinder trail ?

Sorry to hear about the toad...no punishment is to hash for car thieves. It should be like in the old west, when you stole a horse you got your neck stretched !

but on a lighter note...what Jeep do you have now ? (oops...just re-read your post !) Blue XJ I gotcha :)

That is the next to last obstacle you encounter if you run Sidewinder from the first entrance. It is a plce where you can take either the hard way up( which is to the right) or you can take the moderate way up (which is to the left) I attempted the right, but had to back all the way down that huge boulder and ended up taking the moderate way out- if I would have had a rear locker(I had an Aussie in the front) I probably would have made it.

Yeah I think there should be a moderate amount of eye for an eye when it comes to something you love that gets taken away, but supposedly that's why we have such a good law enforcement agency in SD. I remember calling them and they told me to basically forget about ever finding it again.
