Our 03 Liberty locks us in at 15 mph, can that be deprogrammed?
I know there is a procedure in my Dodge truck manual for it but it doesn't work on the Jeep and I don't see it in the Jeep's manual. :?:

Whats that, you mean the overhead display? If so then no.

edit Ok..now I see why you asked that. On the EVIC console there is a menu to turn that off so I need one of those, was already looking into it cuz we have that on our PT Cruiser and Dodge Ram and miss it on the Liberty.

We must have the enhanced BCM cuz the Libby came with keyless entry.
Thanks for posting that question, its just what I needed to get going on this. :)

Your question led me to this page:

Before you buy one though....search around or if you really have a good relationship with your dealer, it can be changed without...IIRC. I can check the SM, but I'm not sure it's in there...let me know if you want me to, I'm not at home right now

You have to do the key on..press unlock twice...key off...like kind of stuff to change it.

My understanding is that if you do not have an EVIC then you need to take it to a dealer to have them change it. I don't know of any way to do it with the key fob.

Yes, thats what I do with my Ram and the PT Cruiser but it doesn't work on the Liberty. I am going to look for an overhead console with that function anyway cuz I want it for the other features.

I think that's right...the dealer does it with the DRB (scan tool)...

Looks like the enhanced EVIC's that have the "menu" button are not only scarce but spendy too.
We still want an overhead console so may have to settle for one that won't let me change the door locks.

Anyone out there with an 04-06 that shows the procedure in the owners manual to disable the auto locks?
My 03 manual doesn't have it. As a last resort I may have to get the dealer to do it with the DRB.

The EVIC I bought has a tire pressure sensor mode that I don't want to use, can that function be bypassed or will I have to always be warned of a pressure fault?
