Waiting for your post on the company to color match my silver Libby.
Hopfully that would keep some of the WINTER road rash to a minimum.

Dog, I don't remember you asking before, but the company that did mine is called X-Spurt Rhino Linings, based out of Ellwood City, Pa.. They will do color-matching but they have to send out for it and it takes them a while to get it.. I personally love the black that I had put on mine.

Don't get me wrong. I think it looks good but the reasoning given wasn't sound. The parts that are still just paint, will get scratched if you wheel off-road enough (same reason to rhino line the lower half). Those scratches will be more noticeable to people walking by than scratches that were down on the lower panel areas.

All of my scratches are on the upper portion (everyone that wheeled Kane Creek Canyon at Moab `05 have the same scratches). Of course, they are not deep scratches but very visible when the KJ is clean. I have not gone to try and buff them out yet. Not sure if it is worth the money. I would not want to rhino line my entire KJ even if I were to get scratched to the metal on the upper part of the body.
To each his own, so more power to you on your choices. Like I said though, it does look good on the lower panels.

Jeremy,

The stock tires don't really kick rocks back like the AT's and MT(R)'s do...as USAFCOP told me he was glad to be following right behind me and not Skyjump because I wasn't kicking rocks up like he was. I don't have any chips or dings on my lower painted areas yet (knock on wood). I guess that's one tiny + for the Stock SR/A's......hahaha!!!!

Thank You for the information. I am on the fence as to color matching the wheel flares or the body. Too many choices not enough green!

Wow that's a great price especially with color matching! Did you decide to match your body color or trim color?

When you have less backspacing combined with MTRs, a lousy paint job is the result. My wider track width and knobby tires have slung more earth and stone than a backhoe working overtime. Before I rust, I rhino...

I decided on matching the body color. After seeing yours today at Jeepfest the trim match would look good too.

Yeah Hoss, i think you made Rhino-lining the new black this year! lol  I'll be getting mine done to match my doors, after the lift and tires. I was worried on how it was going to look (well more my g/f), but after seeing it at Jeepfest it looks really good.

Now that takes some balls! I considered doing that myself, but I was too afraid of it ending up ugly and chickened out. Be sure to post some pics!

I've got a question about doing this. I know guys do it to protect from scratches or cover them, but what if your scratches are already down to the bare metal and starting to rust? Do you have to repair the rust spots first? And one of the spots I have is from a dent where the paint cracked? Would the dent have to be pulled out or would the Rhino lining fill the dent to make it even, kinda like filling a dent in drywall with more mud?
Richard, why don't you post pics too when you're done? Ever get those front fenders fixed?

It is my understanding that as long as the vehicle is prepared for painting, the Rhino will adhere. So it is advisable to make sure you do not have rust or flaking paint. Small dents and dings will go unnoticed due to the texture of the applied material. You could have it applied as a rough finish (it looks like spackled ceiling) I have opted to have the local Rhino distributor use a fine texture (a sand finish).
