Still working on the field testing. I will be finishing up the design and prototype very soon, just been very busy with all the other orders for sliders and cherokee stuff, as well and finishing up the rear bumper for production.

Hows the progress going on the front bumper? Any new pics to keep us drooling. Cant wait to see the production model. Should be in the market for a new bumper in the next couple of months. :D

I have been saving some cash to get a good steel bumper, just cant decide what I want. Your bumper is definitely on a very short list and has some features that I like and are unique.

<---- EDIT when did I become a junkie?

Rock Lizard. Would it be possible to tie a plate/mount into the engine skid plate somehow. I am not asking you to change it and do that I just want your opinion on the possibility of such a thing. From the pics it seems like it wouldnt be too hard. DarbyWalters mentioned this in another thread and I liked the idea.

What do you think?

Are you talking about a separate plate that can be bolted to the bottom part of the bumper and to the front skid/cradle? Sure, it could be done, but IMHO, I just think it is a little extra that is not worth the extra amount of $$, and it would completely close off the area that you need to squeeze your arm into to put the pin in the front hitch. As I mentioned in another thread, While testing these bumpers on the fourth most difficult trail in Colorado, Ted beat the living crap out of the front bumper, and the biggest thing that I was very happy with, was when he back up off a boulder that he was hung up on, and the boulder skid down the belly pan, down the cradle, off the lower arms/front skid, right onto the lower plate of the front bumper and slid all the way to the hitch. The bumper did exactly as it was designed to do. The idea for a complete skid is good, but I just don't think the very little extra protection would be worth the extra cost. I do appreciate the input and suggestions, they are definately considered during R&D and I try to take the best ideas and make the best product as if the customers designed the product themselves.

Thanks for answering my question. That was what I was looking for. I was thinking of it more as another mounting point that would still allow access behind the bumperand not so much a plate...for the time someone comes down hard on a rock or just for extra support when pulling on the bumper. Thanks againg for producing your stuff and thanks to Ted for trying to break it!

I love the look of your bumper! What type of suspension lift are you running on your KJ?

yeah man youve got us DYING here.....i know if this is ready for 05-06 models WITH a bullbar/brushguard/grillguard setup by XMAS, i will get one of these over the ARB no doubt

so im crossing my fingers, my plan is to have a new steel bumper for the new year, hope its this and not ARB (which is still nice though)

I hope to have these going by Christmas/New Years. Biggest hold up right now is getting a dang 05-06 as a Guinea Pig for testing. I had one guy who started, then disappeared off the face of the earth. I'm working as fast and hard as I can, and will keep you all updated when something exciting happens.
