Ok, so it looks like I will definitely be coming with the fiance (she likes to wheel, so that's no problem  ).

Do we want to get a group together and just get a group campground site? I'll be leaving on friday evening, and probably wont get to the campground until around 10-11PM, as we are coming from Northwestern PA.

About how long will it take you? I'm about 1.5-2hrs south of you, and I think we may go........with the libby of course!!

We`ll try and do two levels of runs. One for stock and maybe one for those that want more thrills (i.e. lifted and armored). The stock ones are fun, so everyone will have a blast. I`m pondering about going up Dictum Trail which would be a really fun climb if we can get UP that one part. We`ll see. There is also one or two other trails I found out about that I may want to try.

As for which way I go, I`ll be going 66 West to 81 South. I usually meet up at the McDee`s in Manassas with any that may be going my way at the same time. (If anyone drives down with me, be prepared to do at least 70mph...;))

Mike you should tell them the real speed. "As fast as you can go before you see a cop" I think you forgot about my trailer on the way back from Al's, it was not a problem though.

Mapquest says it will take around 5 1/2 hours. Now the issue i have is that when i put in Harrisonburg, and Brandywine in map quest, i get two quite different set of directions. Harrisonburg and Brandywine. Now which way should i go. the PA part i'm not worried about, but the rest of the through WV, VA, and MD are the parts i dont know about. What way do you think will be faster/better. I'm lookin to save gas where i can.

YJBeef: We can caravan down friday night, if that's ok. The problem we have is that the Fiance just started a new job, and we might have to leave after her work. She is going to talk to her boss, and see if she can work extra, etc. to get off at noon friday, so we can get down there before dark.

I`m more familiar with 81 South so I would go that way but choose what`s best for you. Just take a good look at a map and determine the best course.

Chris, you could put it that way...;)

Guyute1210, I'm thinking that the Brandywine directions are a little quicker. Only thing is, I don't trust mapquest's times but if you check out
http://maps.google.com/ They are usually more accurate?!?! Although I like the idea of taking 79 all the way to 250 instead of the turnpike................Just went to VB a few weeks ago and I'm sure ya know but the turnpike is freaking boring

Hey Mike,

I like the idea of two trails so the stock guys can play and the lifted guys can play. Let's do dictum trail. Let me tackle that obstacle first since I have a rear locker and a winch. I can winch myself up if needed  and then strap or winch everyone else up if needed.

Jacks(who really needs to justify the cost of his winch!)Jeep

Now Google Maps gives me a different Routeto take...argh...

And i dont want to take anything away from the lifted guys, but splitting us up too much on the trails would suck...i want to see all these different lifts in action, so i can figure out what i want. Of course, if the stock vehicle can't make it...well it can't make it...

How is Dictum Trail? My local clubs ride is coming up in a week and a half and we are going to attempt to go up Dictum with Stock and modified TJs, YJs, XJs, and KJs. We have run pretty much all the trails around the area the last 3 times we have been and were looking for something new.
