I'll sleep anywhere.

I have a feeling I'm gonna end up working that weekend. I've been getting real busy lately. So, I won't know if I can go for sure till the day we leave.

Made my reservation at the Motel 6 as well.

The guys from itsajeep.org have promised to show us thier favorite camping spot inside Turkey Bay before we hit the trails Saturday morning so we can set up our tents and snatch it before someone else does.

Hi guys, I live nearby to Turkey bay in Clarksville, TN. I haven't taken my Liberty on the trail there yet but I have been there on my ATV several times in the past month or two. They have been working on the main trail with a dozer and it's a pretty good ride with some hill climbs that would be a little tricky in a Liberty. The lake is down to winter pool so you can drive along the edge of it also. Make sure you all bring cold weather gear for the nights, it's darn cold after dark because your close to the lake. I haven't logged on here in a while so I just found out about this run so I may or may not make it depending on what the better half has planned for that weekend. I'll keep y'all posted.

I think we need to include what time everyone is leaving and departing, like I mentioned earlier. I know all you chicago folks will all be together, but what about the rest of us. Some of need to know things ahead of time to make plans.

Eddo, you're the only non Chicago guy at this point. JeeperJeepster has backed out and I don't believe Moose is coming either.

I don't post Chicago caravaning information to alienate people from other areas. I have no way of coordinating other areas. I can only try to coordinate my own. I usually hope that someone from other groups will take the initiative to do so themselves.

At this point the itsajeep.org guys have agreed to meet us around 7:15 at the entrance to Turkey Bay, show us the campsite, and then get on the trail by 9 AM.

No big deal. Just would have been helpful to know when you guys will be actually wheeling. I'm not asking for your travel plans. I just didn't want to be waiting around for half a day for people to show up or expect to be wheeling all day Sunday when everyone is taking off at noon.

Anyways, I'm out on this one. My trip out to New Mexico and Utah this month was a little hard on the checkbook.

moose is out. I have to coach my son's football team (the WILL be done by Badlands though :) ), and take my daughter hunting (She want's a buck this year...) Too many activities.... but at least the new Frankenlift looks nice.

Edoo, I hope you're not backing out becuase you're pissed off. No one was trying to keep you in the dark! Sorry, sincerely so, if you felt that way.

Oh no, not at all. Just re-read my post and it does kind of sound like that.

Anyways, it was just a little too much for me to take another trip even if it is just for a weekend. Money, significant other, etc. However, now I can make the badlands trip so not all is lost.

I was hoping to get to Land between the Lakes this fall. However, I am committed this weekend and cannot join you.

I am really looking forward to Jeepin with some other KJs. So far, I have joined others that have Rubicons or Wranglers. It has been fun but sometimes hard to keep up with them. I went to the Jeep Jamboree in Deadwood last year but I was the only KJ there. Also spent a week each of the last two years in Leadville, CO.

I will be looking forward to hearing about your trip.

I may still try to get down later this year.

How long is the Jeeping season down there.

I'm out. Finished basement flooded last night when the power went out for 18 hours, so my time and money will be going to demolotion and reconstruction. Really sux, beyond the fact that we had the basement full of about 100 cardboard boxes full of stuff from the move, I was looking forward to this run, especially with the fall colors starting. Hoping to still make the Badlands on Halloween though.
