Let's do the copper creek run I mentioned earlier. Meet at the Circle K in Mammoth at 8:30 AM. Leave by 9:00 AM on Sunday 9/4/05. This is the labor day weekend. If you're not going out of town come trail with us.

This is a run that should be fine for stock vehicles, I've heard differing stories on if there are more challenging places to play. The website says there is, but some folks I've talked to said not really. Let's go find out!

Directions:

From Phoenix take I-10 East toward Tucson to 87 toward Florence. Take State Route 79 south to State Route 77 to Mammoth. The Circle K is in the middle of town on the east side of the highway. You can't miss it.

Here's some links for information-

Note- a BLM permit is required for this area (and many other trails we run). Here's a link to get a permit:

http://www.land.state.az.us/programs/natural/rec_permit.pdf

This will be a fun and scenic run, let's get lot's of folks and have some fun!

Vern, if I knew I didn't have to work next weekend I'd love to go. I will know for sure by Wednesday, keep an eye for an update. I'll be going down Mondayto turn in my permit form.

Sorry I am going up to the white Mountians next weekend.

If my plans fall through I will post here.

Later,

Doesn't seem like anyone else is interested. I was trying to schedule an easier run for some of the newer folks. Doesn't look like the new folks can make it. Maybe another date.

I know you've been wanting to do the Gap run, but couldn't make the previous ones. AZ virtual jeep club is going to run the gap the same day. If you're up for it we can run the gap instead and save copper creek for another trip.

I'm up for either one so make yourself happy.

Yeah, Vern this weekend is tough due to the holiday. I was thinking about a run next weekend up here in Phxland - but it'd be a road trip for ya.
