:Woot: I had the day off so I dropped the Liberty off at the dealership this morning and picked it up around 3:30 this afternoon. Nothing too much really to report just that I am excited to be riding around on a safe front suspension. :P The only other thing that I can offer is to take pictures tomorrow after work.

Mods - feel free to move this to the correct section as I don't start too many threads.

Have you noticed a difference in the ride since it was done? I thought mine felt a little more surefooted and responsive.

I had mine done last week, and it kind of felt the same. But then mine is an 06, so maybe there wasn't a problem yet. It has always felt surefooted and very responsive. And still does now.

Mine felt really different.

Before that, bot lower and upper ball joints had a lot of play. When braking, I could feel any uneveness in road surface --- this is amplified into a noticeable pull to the side. I had the lower ball joints replaced and the braking feels better. I will have the uppers replaced tomorrow.

On my wife's stock 4x2 KJ, the ride felt a lot stiffer.

I love the way my Liberty feels now... On all road surfaces but especially on the highway, it feels more connected to the road. I guess I was just used to the way the Liberty drove before that I didn't really notice it too much until after.

Got my recall work done on 10/7/06 (43,400 miles), and I too noticed a handling improvement. Steering is more responsive and car-like. There doesn't seem to be as much -- if any -- play in the steering wheel now. I'm glad I got the work done, for the peace of mind if nothing else. I inspected the new ball joints before I left the dealership, and I took pictures at home. They are the new bluish part.

Yesterday 10/09 at 49K miles. LBJ's were checked 3 months ago and were okay. Switched tires last week from 6-ply Revos to 10-ply Revos, and that seemed to amplify road wandering. After the LBJ job, she tracks great with crisp control. Believe no front end alignment was done.

Wow, do we have a lot of the same LBJ topic!
I wonder if all of them could be combined into a massive thread, a lot to keep track of..

anyway, here are my pix.
Got it done on two Friday's ago:

Requested them to replace sway bar bushings, making weird noises in the cold weather, hoping this was the reason.. waiting for weather to get below 50..

That LBJ looks much more stout than the original equipment.

It sure does! I was under my jeep thinking "why didn't DCX put these on to begin with?"

I received my recall notice in the mail. Does anyone KNOW if these ball joints are any better than the old ones? Did they actually redesign them? I am considering having them replaced with Moogs, and I want to know if it will be worth it or not. I hear alot of talk, but haven't really seen anything on why these are better. Does anyone have a side by side shot of old ball joints and new ball joint uninstalled? or at least a shot of the new ones before they were put in?
