Hey Blake,

Put some silicon under the two spring isolators (the area between the rubber issolator and top/bottom plate), and grab the spring with a large pipe wrench. You should be easily able to turn it. I've turned the springs before on accident when installing list so I don't think it would be overall difficult to turn it now. Of course make sure the strut assembly is completely unloaded (ie. not with the Jeep sitting on the ground.) You shouldn't need to disassembly the strut assembly.

However, I've gotten away with alot more clevis lift on those exact same set of struts. Probably about the equivalent of 3 conduit nuts and didn't have any contact. (The marks you see is from when I went added a top plate on-top of the large clevis lift and then had a little contact.) Done the same for other people with the same struts and never had an issue either.
