Here we go...

Photo of all in the lot as we air down and meet everyone. We looked over everyones kj to get an idea on what we could do and not do. Since we had several drop out, we decided to stick with just one group.

Image

After starting on the green trail, we drove down the side of the dunes to the truck only area. This image does not really do the fall colors justice but at least you can see it was a great sunny day.

Image

FastTRX was among those who were with us for the first time. He did a great job with his stock KJ. I dont think he got stuck once. Here he is getting the better part of two of the hills.

After watching some other guys in the quarry, we broke for lunch.

Image
Image

After lunch, more hills and a run in the stream...

On the last trail, 05JeepKJ took a bad line and his right front wheel slid into a very large hole. I think all of us gasped when he slid in. I was right behind him and I know I said "Oh fudge." (only I did not say fudge...)

The Purdue 4x4 club was there also and helped us get him out. I did not tell them I liked Ohio State.
Image

It did not look like there was too much damage. Just a turn signal and some scratches.
Image

We drove down the stream some more but did not find the canyon. Found a hill out of the stream and took the rode back to the office.
Image

Filled up my tires and enjoyed a Dr Pepper while we got everyone ready for the trip home. I had a great day!
Image

There are more images that I did not post here available HERE.
Some of the files are very large so beware. The smaller images are also there if you want to use them to make an avatar or something. Thanks again to Don and Henry for eveything. I am looking forward to the next LOST Midwest run!

Nice pictures looks like 05JeepKJ had the most fun. I would give that tilt a 6 on the pucker-o-meter.

Looks like we'll have to get our own portable winch so the other clubs don't have to rescue us.

If you had seen him go in, I think you would have rated that higher... I know I was

I gave it a 6 since it would be a soft landing. On a cliff it would be much more puckering.

Wish i could have made it to the run. Has anyone named that hole yet? Bogdan found it first but he already has a summer house named after him.

Looks like FUN! I can't wait to rejoin the group in a month or so - it's been a long time and a long year. This picture is awesome:

Love those Renegade wheels!

Nice to see another CRD and look forward to running with you in the future. We need to get V-6 airbox and intake because our current one is lower grill level - too risky if the bumper goes under water our turbo will suck it right up!

Nice pix, Spowers. Thanks for sharing. Nice fall colors. Azure sky. Decent temps. Not as many bugs. Wish I could have been there.
