Boy, I can't believe no one beat me to posting about this.
The Fall/Winter crawl was a blast as always. Four of us braved the cold to make this run. Chefdab, uvalax236, Ugg and I rolled out our Jeeps in the quest to tackle the trails of GWNF and the Shenandoah Mountain.
A 8:00am crew call found us under Richard’s Rubicon. One of the Mid-Atlantic's famous skid plate install parties the morning of a ride. After hitting Sheetz for fuel and provisions. We aimed for South Mountain Rd. A trail I have yet to do. We found many icy mud holes to play in and a neat over look at the top of the ridge none of us knew about.
Next we rolled up Flag Pole knob. Lunch was served at the overlook and good conversation about the new JK's, the future of the Jeep brand, and our dreams for our 4x4's. Taking the long way out of there, Richard decided the big hill on the way out needed to be tackled. He wanted to prove how much the new jeep could handle such an obstacle. Dave was showing off what 35" tires could over come. (Sigh of jealousy

)
Then everyone thought our Jeep's didn't get dirty enough, so I showed them what Sawmill Creek was all about. We played in the mud until dark.
A great time by all indeed. I hope we can get down there again soon.
