Blue has side blinkers instead of a trail rated badge, also looks like it has different seats. The blue is american right? jk

American spec has those tiny side lights? I've never seen that.

The blue one also has tiny lights in the rear bumper which I also don't recall seeing on US KJs.

That funny plastic tire cover on the blue one is Euro.

Also note the red one does not have space in the rear for a European-sized license plate -- The blue one has the space for it in the tire cover.

The seat headrests appear different. I couldn't say if it was Euro vs American or just a year style difference. The seats in the blue one look like my seats in a US KJ.

Where are they hiding the radio antennae on the blue vehicle?

The blue one is a gasser and the red one is a CRD, Obviously ;-)

Blue may be such a bare bones model it didn't come with a radio... therefore no antenna.

blue is the euro version. it has the antenna built into the rear window. The side markers on the fender of the blue one are factory because of some wierd laws over there

Ditto. There are some low hanging trees around here and I whack them with the antennae going in and out. A built-in antennae certainly makes sense for off-roading, too. A window antennae probably costs 12 cents more than the metal tree whacker, so that would be reason enough for the DC bean counters to not put one in the US vehicles.

Is the antennae mounted symetrically with the trail-rated badge on the other side? If so, that's probably by the spent the extra few cents for the in-glass model. The E-spec one needed the location for the side turn indicator and therefore COULDN'T put the "tree-whacker" there.

The seats in the E-spec (blue) are the upgraded "Limited" leather seats with adjustable headrest. Not sure if that's an E-spec thing though. The owner probably just upgraded his interior.

The E-spec has the steel wheels. I believe the wheel upgrade was tied to the same package that gave tinted rear windows. So jinstall got the tint/wheel upgrade and the E-spec guy didn't.

I would like the glass antenna too, but then where would I put my little antenna-topper kayaking guy???

OK here we go:

Thanks Old Navy, sorry but I have had no time to work this. I will be pushing 80hrs this week at work.

Blue KJ is a E-spec, US Army Non-Tac, with AM-FM-CD-RDS cruise, tilt, ac, auto, NO LEATHER.

Red is my US-spec, Sport CRD with espec towing package(harness-hitch) rated at 3500kg!!!!! 140kgtw all stock

In the other photos I sent old Navy you can see the antenna in the rear glass.
There is a switch near the headlights for adjusting the hight of the headlight beams when the rear is loaded down. There are small motors in the headlights that adjust the lamp. There are small lights in the headlamps for "parking" on the street.

The mirrors are heated and powered, THEY ARE NOT POWER FOLDING, like on the GC.

There are side repeaters on the fenders. As soon as I have time Iwill be doing this swap. New fenders and lights.

if it was a CRD 2.5 or 2.8 there would be a particle filter at the end of the tailpipe as required by all 2005 diesel engines.

the rear tailights are different, were we have reflectors in the lower portion e-spec has a bright lamp called a rear fog light. VERY USEFUL here in Germany were the fog is very thick, .like tonigt.

the 2 small reflectors are replacement for the ones that normally come in th rear lights.

The turnsignal switch has a 2 position fog lamp setting, it pulls out twice, to turn on the rear lights.

The spare tire holder is completely different, it swings out so you can take the spare off. I will be doing this conversion as well.

Hmm I think there are a few more....

spare tire holder complete $750
rear glass with antenna tinted $320
Parts only. Looking for the part #s so that you SHOULD be able to order these at your local dealer.

If you get a photobucket account you can upload them to there, they have a tool to shrink them down and then you could just save them back to whereever you want. It is a free account up to a certain limit.

The lights in the rear bumper must be the 'fog' lights that are mentioned in the service manual. I think someone was asking about how to hook them up a while back. Looks like you would need a e-spec rear bumper to make it happen and not a tail light assembly as was speculated.
