Okay, I'm just making the decision guys. Let's do Eagle Rock on Sunday. Who's coming?

Meet at 10:00am at the Southgate Home Depot parking lot. The folks over at colorado4x4.org set up the meeting time and place so let's get some KJs out there to show them what we can do.

I'll already be up there 'wheeling with the guys from work. I'm sure that I'll still be up there trying to get them through the trail without body damage  One of the guys is taking a Chevy 2500HD CrewCab with a 6" lift up there

We're meeting on Fort Carson at 8am which means we'll probably hit Old Stage between 8:30 and 8:45 (leave post 15 minutes late and at least 15 minutes to get to Old Stage). I'll also be the only one with a CB or any other form of communication short of a cell phone. BTW, not a single on of these guys have ever run with a KJ before and they like to give me a lot of crap about them.

Can't make it this weekend. Just returned from Elk hunting. Probably won't be able to get out this month.

Whatever you do, do not get in the lineup behind that big truck, because he's going to get stuck/wedged between those trees right after the creek. Not sure yet what the wife's plans are for Sunday, and I should really get some work done, but I really haven't had a day off from this stuff since we ran China Wall, so I'm tentatively in. Anyone know if there is snow up there? Just wondering if my bald tires will be fine, or if I need to throw the rear bumper back on Ted's junk and take it for a spin since he has to work.

Yeah, Pete called for my opinion on the group he was going with. I'll wait for the enxt group, thank you.:D Not 100% sure I'm going yet. Still have to find out the wife's plans and check on the weather. I don't have heat, and we will have to take the kids, so if it is supposed to snow/rain, I'm not going to chance it. Do you know what the weather is supposed to be tomorrow?

47 degrees, mix of sun and clouds, chance of rain. Put on a coat and bring along the family for warmth. :D

Pete, what's your cell #? If nobody else comes out I'll be looking to hook up with you guys on the earlier run.

Joel, PM sent with my cell number and I'll be on channel 12 for the CB.

There was also a stock KJ that was to go out with us but I think he's decided not to go. There are a few others that are going as well but they have no idea what they are getting themselves into. I'll be tailgunner for this run because I refuse to lead these guys into something they won't be able to get out of. However, most of the guys with 4x4's from my unit are going (to include the CO) so I'm going too.

stock KJ? Won't make it and if it somehow does, it will suffer damage.

RL - have you decided one way or another yet? If you're not going I'm going to head down early and help the KJers represent in Pete's group. BTW, I had a blast out at Slaughterhouse Gultch today! Rubi on 33s was with us and they were great company.

So you still want to go at 10:00 even though Pete and Troy are going up earlier? Fine with me either way. It would be kinda fun to run with the Colorado4x4 folks just to show them what a KJ can do. I know Pete and Troy will represent in the first group.

Or maybe I should just run it twice.

Is Troy taking his jeep or just riding with Pete? I think we can catch up to Pete's group when that that big truck gets stuck at the trees just past the creek. I think you'll represent the KJs just fine to the CO4x4 group, although some new bumpers would make more of an impression.

Funny that you mention that because I am getting a Christmas bonus...

Saw this from over on colorado4x4 "John and I ran it today- locked front and rear on 37's and 38's, we had some fun in the ice spots. Make sure you bring your winch and snow shovel.... We ran down the back side of Baldy leaving the only tire tracks on the way down through 40" snow drifts( one swallowed my front axle...). Helped a couple guys get his XJ back on the road as well. I can't see a stock TJ making that without a lot of help. Dry season, no problem, but there was a lot of slick spots today."

Just be careful out there guys. Looks like it could be reminicent of our snow mobile trail debacle from a couple years ago...

I just jumped over to CO4x4 to read the updates. I'll have my tow strap ready. Maybe I should snag the tires off Ted's junk.:D
