just bought a set of toyo open country a/t's for my 98 f150 4x4.

$600 out the door for 265/75/r17, set of 4.

really nice, quite on road with great ride. waaayyy better than my goodyear mt/r's on the liberty, but they are not even half as agressive as far as the tread.

anyway, here are a couple of pics, see if you like em'.

I ran those tires on my TJ for 3 years. They were very nice tires but seemed to wear fast.

did you do the normal maintenace on them, rotation, air pressure checks and all?
ill keep an extra close eye on them for the first 10 - 15k miles, see if they wear fast.
hopefully not, im trying to sell the vehicle, hope they last a good while.

They seem to just be a softer rubber (which translates to good traction) but also fast wear.

By sipes, do you mean those little lines going through the tread? My yokohama Geolanders have those.. They are alittle bigger though..

I really like the tread of them. Looks almost like mine.. Mine are alittle soft so I know they will wear fast. I really like them and will probably buy them again even if they only last 30k.. For the price they cannot be beat.

Got them for $445.. :)

Why are you wanting to sell the truck? wanting another libby?

would be cool to keep the libby, sell the truck, and get a good sports car like the audi.. that way you would have something thats good offroad and a car for onroad. :)

I thought I read in another thread that you wanted another libby? :?

Had these on our KJ for a year now. I really like these tires especially in the snow. They seem to be wearing pretty well so far. :D

I am trying to decide between the Toyo Open Coutnry AT and the Geolander AT-S. they are the only two decent looking tires that come in the dreaded 235/65/17 size.

tried them out in wet weather a week or so ago. really tried to get the rear end sideways, and it took quite a bit more gas pedal than i thought, especially with the 5.4l, it has tons of torque.

took a couple of turns a litte fast to see if i would hydroplane at all, and nothing.

really work well, very quiet.
